Some of the songs of Anil Biswas and Lata duo are historically more aged than when I was born. But they are beautiful renderings one has to appreciate the time we lived in. In the rush and tumble of everyday living in a crowded mess that is Mumbai with rush for surviving amid traffic snarls and hazards and the finical chores to compete a living the days of yore are long forgotten of the times we passed through lazily and with laxity. To confess I do not find time to even report the selfless work Mirza puts in but beyond my exterior I appreciate his humble offerings. Some of the songs from this collection are priceless gems that will remain etched in my memory. And some made me sad as it transported me back to the memorable days of the care-free childhood I savoured. All said, it is a great effort and a pronounced contribution from Mirzaji.
A very lovely collection Mister Mirza ji; Anil Biswas is my most favourite music director especially when under his baton, Talat Mehmood and Lata Mangeshkar are the vocalists. The finest creations from the 50s had to be his magical creations for example songs from, the film's Doraaha, Naaz, Waris, Aaram etcetera. Unfortunately, he isn't as commonly cited as others like Naushad Ali but still I prefer Anil Biswas. Thank you ever so much Mister Mirza for this compilation!
