It was proved when the mighty American Army was expelled from South Vietnam, as a result of the massive resistance of the common people. Pandit Nehru's vision was to unite his citizens into one single entity and induce in them the sense of duty towards the nation. He knew that no enemy, however strong it is, could survive long if the resistance against it is equally strong. The thing which was proved in 1965, 1971, and 1999. Pandit Nehru understood the pulse of India more than most of the Indians did.
