Matthew Paluch Freedom Guitars on Sunset had a Gibson Cream colored dbl nk EDS 1275 for $1100 in their window back in 1988, I had the money too in my hot little hands but I chickened out to go inside and try it out.

I know the feeling. I chickened out on a Rick 4001 with checkerboard binding, a Bunker Nova, and a '54 Strat (aftermarket neck) that was there at one time or another.

mortensen1961 I used go to Sunset all the time to visit all the little stores around GC in Hollywood. I had an Echoplex I picked up from one of those stores too for real cheap.

Jimi Hendrix bought one of these at Manny's Music in my home of New York City. He used that guitar on the recording of Spanish Castle Magic believe or not. That guitar is currently on display at the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio in the Hendrix Exhibit.

Incidentally, the president of Mosrite built one of the first (if not the first) Triple Neck models in the 50s as a one of a kind. One neck was a Mandolin.

When I first started playing guitar in the 80's the store I hung out at had a Mosrite bass somebody put there on commission. I almost bought that thing I don't know how many times because even with rusty strings it easily thumped louder than every new bass in the whole store. A beautiful clear tone from your basic Pbass was Rudy Sarzo or Lemmy with that Mosrite. I vacillated too long and somebody else bought it, never did get to hear how badass the thing was on new strings

That is truly BAD ASS! I have had several odd and strange vintage guitars over the years but never a double neck Mosrite. Years back a guitar shop in Louisville Ky. had this same DN Mosrite but it was a light violet with it's case but was in bad shape with what looked like water damage.

As a big Ohio Players fan in the 70's, I was always curious about what kind of axe the lead singer/Guitarist "Sugarfoot" played. I never saw anyone else playing another one like it. After doing the research, I found out about the Mosrite. Looks like the used ones are quite expensive and after watching this video, I see why.
