Nice haul! Guess I should move to Canada. All I find here are piles of Marvel movies among others that are way too familiar or I already own. In 2014 I thought Godzilla was disappointing & tedious. Rewatched the first four of this new series getting ready for Godzilla x Kong & it was still slow going. Adored GxK however. 😊 I felt like a little kid the entire runtime (I'm 72 so that that RARELY happens). Moved like lightning with zero dead air scenes & I was smiling for a couple of days after the cinema trip. Those 'WORST' collections can be a real crap shoot but there's usually a gem or two included. The Ape Man is dreadful technically but too silly to ignore. I have a copy of Burnt Offerings and still need to watch it, and I still have a memory of finding the book in the library when I was a kid and wondering what the story was about. I was impressed with the original Amityville Horror movie and I'm hoping Offerings is in the same category. My best $1 find the other week was a copy of "Paths of Glory," a film I needed for the Kubrick section (I'm still in shock it existed in the dollar bin).
I agree about Godzilla 2014 not being that good. It has several really good elements like Bryan Cranston's character, the HALO jump, Serizawa's scenes and the final battle but the main two human characters were extremely cliched and the soldier guy was as memorable as a piece of wet toast.
