in a world where they spend millions producing television shows I just want to watch jonny try to land a trick for twenty minutes. seriously, this was fantastic.
I have watched you for nearly 3 years now, but rarely comment. Just wanted to say I appreciate all the work you put into these videos and your skating. It has been a pleasure watching you progress and grow on here. Thanks for the entertainment and knowledge.
Yes! I agree with you 100%, Casual T. Fantastic content, Jonny. Your videos are so inspirational, funny, creative, and super entertaining. Your skills blow my mind! Keep up the great work.
You are an absolute inspiration. As a mid 40 something Fat Man that always loved Skating more than I ever had talent to perform, I love watching this stuff! Your Rodney Mullen content brought me here so long ago, and I always find myself coming back to see what youre up to. Im so happy you found a voice on YT and share all this stuff with us! Also, great job with the production content.
I don't wanna say that Giger is the only reason I'm getting back into skating at 33 years old, but he's definitely a huge part of it. His shit is inspirational, youknowwhatimsayin?
I'm 47. Got back into skating last year. I've gotten some of my tricks back and even landed some new ones like nollie fs shuvs and shuvs out of 50/50 grinds. Varial heel, fakie bigspin and benihana finger flip are on my bucket list. I take a multivitamin and DHEA to help speed up the healing process. If I would have had RU-vid when I was a kid, I would have progressed so much faster. Thanks to Sir Giger, Braille and all these guys out here making videos like this.
@@H3RMXSFP footwear shoes with non-neutonian fluid soles absorb impact. Also Powell Dragon Formula or Nano Cubic wheels lower vibration. Globe impact decks and soft risers take away some of the impact also. Put them all together and you should be able to skate until 70-80.
Im gonna be honest with you, you are probably the one most of inspiring skateboarders ive ever seen, the absolutely insane dedication you have not only to skateboarding but also youtube is incredible. I stopped skating somewhile back, but i think i might start back up once i get a new board.
Shit, I'm 41 with shot knees and hips and he's inspiring enough that I kinda want to get my first board (aside from the walmart Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle one I had about 35 years ago.)
I’m 45 and I’m gonna start to skate again. I never got passed a stationary Ollie & kick flip. As a teen, Never could even Ollie up a curb. Couldn’t progress .. INSPIRED … will skate again… Most deserving tuber of multimillion subs💯
Jonny is one of the few people that can do pretty much anything. His level of dedication to work towards a goal is astronomically high. He inspires others to keep pushing forward to push the boundaries of what is possible and he keeps a great attitude the entire time. I am not a huge skateboarding fan but I do enjoy watching it from time to time but more than skateboarding I love to see passion and Jonny has it in spades. I wish him all the success in the world and I know he will get it because he is willing to put forth the effort to attain it. Keep on keeping on my guy and be proud of yourself. You are a monster!!! 👻
This is such a crazy insane trick, I'm so impressed that you push through so far to do the craziest tricks and it's always awesome to see the wild new tricks you challenge yourself to do🤘🏼
This video is not just about skate, is about a dude with amazing vibes and extraordinary creativity, hands down best skate videos out there man. 5 Stars to production and performance.
I'm not the only one who gets inspiration from you, you're the reason that keeps me motivated to land new tricks cuz you never give up man, love from Mex, Guadalajara Jalisco 🇲🇽
Dude, I was absolutely cheering for you here, alone in my office. Seeing you pull that off was so triumphant! Without a doubt, this will serve as inspiration for me for the rest of my life.
Truly a "final battle" end game boss of a trick. I truly am inspired by you, and I don't skate... but... it conveys to all my goals and obstacles. Thank you Jonny Giger! I've had the pleasure of watching your channel every drop since the first Rodney Mullen trick video (about 3 years ago?). Thank you for everything you put into this channel. I also truly appreciate that I can share it with my young kids, and help them get inspired too!
Thank you for pushing what's possible. I credit carded hard last year trying to learn dolphins - If you can do that I can do a dolphin. Thanks for the inspiration man.
Giger's videos just show how there virtually is NO LIMIT to how complex and difficult things can get. This trick blows my mind and I know those who dont skate or skated briefly just have SUCH difficulty truly understanding how hard this trick and most of the stuff he does are. Insanity.
god damm man that is so crazy , congrats for landing it , and how clean u done it just blew my mind away man , huge respect , u r such a motivation to skate and try harder doing it!!!
been trying this trick recently, getting the timing is insanely weird. I love front foot impossibles and accidentally had a few turn into this with the late flip but never landed it yet personally.
Ellis and you coming together for a Collab was literally my favorite thing on RU-vid. I want some black pants so bad for work. I'm a sushi man and really wanna look as cool as these tricks you guys do.
Hey Jonny, I just recently found your channel and have been addicted to your content. I haven't skateboarded in some 25 years, but you make me want to pick it up again as a hobby. Seeing you try to learn new tricks, the constant failure and then the rapture of seeing you finally land it. Just amazing. Thank you!
Man you landed that so smooth. You have given me the want to start skateboarding again I'm 38 I was sponsored for 7 years but it's been over ten years since I've picked up a board 😢
It's amazing to see the persistence and determination after so many failed attempts. It's also amazing to see that with every failed attempt you are learning what not to do until eventually you do land the trick. It helps show how humbling making mistakes or failing many times is just temporary and that if you believe in yourself you can do what no one else has done. All this just to say, you are great at what you do and it's such a wonderful thing that you can share it with all of us!
I'm no skater anymore (well, I used to be) but I have to send mad-props your way for some of the tricks you manage to stick, but also the fact that you showcase just how much effort is involved when trying to land these crazy technical tricks.
What an insane trick to land even once. Throughout the video you were obviously getting better and better at it. There were more and more "near lands" in each consecutive section.
i've never been a skateboarder but love watching you guys do mad stuff and seeing the pain and repetition of failed attempt of a trick over and over. Just for that moment when you stick it. reminds me of the hours and hours i would just ride in circles hitting a ramp over and over screaming inside my helmet in frustration as i failed. but when you pull that trick you want so bad, nobody can ever take it away from you. Its yours forever.
Jesus the emotion after finally landing that was…wow I was like a kid on his birthday when I landed an illusion flip…but after that I’m retiring from practice after seeing this DAMN
Sweet swirling onion rings! I says to myself, I says, hey me... This guy is really dedicated to his craft! All the time, effort, bumps, bruises, scrapes, shin bangers, sweat droplets and close calls....then you landed it perfectly. Worth every bit of it, I says!! Giger? More like Tiger! Ferocious trick hunter! 🐯
That park looks like a slice of Heaven. Unbelievable view, incredibly chill, fire construction, buttery ramps and transitions… Im about to grab a plane ticket lol
When I saw Ellis do this and call it late dragon I knew what I would actually call it. In this video you describe the components in line with what I consider it, Front Foot Imposter. An Ollie imposter or “mike mo flip” but with a ff impossible. Just my opinion… but think about it
Dude that trick is insane already without being late. Being late adds like 10x the difficulty. It blew my mind to see you land it. Also very well edited, as usual. The dream part was funny. Also I think that 5-0 trick you did might have been a THPS special trick.
Wow and I have been stressing about trying to land a perfect moving Ollie, granted I am 53, but if this dude can put in this effort I think I should be able to land my moving Ollie!
