Welcome back to Tiny Blue Games! My name is Csaw or Chris, and today we are talking about Halloween in GW2. As I have only recently returned to video games, I was scared I would have missed all of my favourite Halloween events. Luckily the GW2 Halloween event was still licking around for a few days, allowing me to do some of my favourite in-game activities.

I've started to come around to GW2's events. When I first started playing GW2 I remember getting kind of frustrated with them, because it felt like they took so long to complete, and I was worried about missing out on the rewards. But now that I've been playing for a while and am more or less current, I find myself looking forward to them every year. And GW2 definitely does a great job of decorating for their events, particularly the custom sky box and over the top theming in Lion's Arch for Halloween. Part of me does kind of wish they would sprinkle some decorations around in all of the major cities, the way FFXIV does, but it's hard to deny that they do a great job with it, and it certainly does create a strong association with each event to a specific city, which has some appeal. The activities that are available are pretty consistently fun as well. So, yeah I think my early game frustrations with the seasonal events unfairly soured my opinion.
