@@priapulida JRT is Josh Robert Thompson, aka the voice and controller of Geoff, and the actor impersonating Arnold Schwarzenegger in skits, also the voice of Morgan Freeman and many others impersonated on the show.
Thanks for continuing to fill out the collection. It is much appreciated. During the run of this show, Ferguson often joked about people watching it on RU-vid so when I do watch it's an odd feeling. I think the "kids" call it "meta." Thanks again!
Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson 1/10/2008 Val Kilmer, Michael Gates Gill, Alan Hunter 228pm 10.12.23 why, is he dead? this looks like american tv...
@@PepperPeep "NO WAY" TikTok Videos Viewers Are Struggling To Explain 10.12.23 2153pm maybe he just plays pro celebrity golf nowadays, then? do you recall his Bing Hitler act?
yeah, agreed, his show succeeded in ways we may never find again. Even if he never entertains us quite the same again, his podcast "Joy" (started Aug '23) is also quite good. If you haven't listened, don't miss it, esp his interview of JRT (29-Aug). While it lacks the homely, comedic silliness of TLLS, it's much more authentic CF, in his natural element, sharing and exploring what brings him his Joy. 👊 it's available anywhere you prefer getting podcasts. -In a different reply herein, I shared a link to the JRT episode on Google Podcasts- (YT blocks links, but should be easy to search for).
@@jimbeardsley222 Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson 1/10/2008 Val Kilmer, Michael Gates Gill, Ian Hunter 11.12.23 1546pm i am listening to alleged government critique of government think tanks re: alleged government inspired illness.... anyhow if you wanna enjoy that banal piece of legalistic history and fudge then go to daily mirror you tube channel - it's airing for free!!!
Man this is early Before the cold openers Before he was a citizen Before he married Megan (based on the Ashlee sketch) Before Geoff Before Secretariat Before the set had a door to go with the doorbell Before the 'What Did We Learn' Cat
Michael Gates Gill used to be my neighbor in New York, and for a dude who started a very successful company and wrote such good books, he's a pretty chill normal guy.
Oooooh, that's the first new 2008 episode i have seen since like 10 years ago! Good stuff, here's to uncovering more ditches full of old LLS videos. :B
He was pretty damn good at this point. Overall I like it much better with Geoff but whatever... that boring author might have been better with a sidekick helping
I think people forget how amazingly outgoing and charismatic Val Kilmer is. People seem to put him into the Sean Penn type category of being off the rails, out of control, way too serious, and not great at conversation but Val Kilmer has always been the exact opposite! You don't make the type of comedies he's made, if you are not extremely quick-witted, charismatic, and a fun human being
@@jimvalim1567 .. TLLS was already perhaps the least constrained show on US broadcast, and that's part of how he randomly became its host! He needed stability at the time, but otherwise he only thrives well as a freelance creative. He's thriving far better now. Scroll his more recent filmography, search YT for him being interviewed esp by H.Stern, and dig into it all. He left TLLS because he knew he couldn't thrive within any demanding system that enshrines him so much. Gotta respect any human that wise.
It says a whole lot that Val Kilmer was willing to go on a talk show in this time frame as he was barely ever doing any talk shows in this time frame, and almost none ever again after this time frame
Craig before Geoff is funny. But not as funny as with Geoff. Even Craig knew that. Once he got the sidekick he wanted, there was no looking back. They are like Yin and Yang. There is no Late Late Show without Craig Ferguson and Geoff Peterson.
I've never heard of the Tiffany Network until watching Craig ferguson. Still don't know what it is I've looked it up and nothing comes up beyond the bulshit overpriced Jewelry Company

Funny - just tonight I watched this episode (S04E41) then resumed my watch-through of all eps in order.. to find Craig mention the Starbucks with the bathroom issues again in S08E28. Thank you for continuing to find & share these!
