But my family had a cottage to go to in the near North (Haliburton highlands). It was there that we swam in pristine lakes, drank their water, lived on the lake trout my dad caught. And all the while, were infused with the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Lambert Hendrix and Ross, Sinatra, Chet Baker, .... I could go on and on, But l spent so many of my formative years floating around Canada lakes listening to this stuff and letting it shape me and my siblings into much of who we are Today.
Every time during my stay at the hospital I have been enjoying all these relaxing jazz musics and also other saxophone, piano and guitar master pieces are which relaxes my broken body a little. My thanks to all of you.

It is something strange to have this taste for jazz and to be so young, when most of the young people and people today listen to reggaeton and trap, ever since I heard jazz for the first time I felt that I was someone different, someone with different ideas, with a lifestyle different from normal, I think that in a while I will take classes to learn to play my favorite music 🎷❤

I like smooth jazz like this, because it gives me the feeling of being in a fancy steakhouse or lounge in New York City, sipping on a fancy drink, like champagne or wine and enjoying a steak or something. Don't you just love that feeling?
I don’t know why but jazz music is very calming in a way, it really helps me study or sometimes sleep it’s really relaxing. jazz music always reminds me of a nice fancy restaurant where your sitting next to the balcony on a slight chilly night as stars sparkle in the sky while the cold breeze hits your skin. And the sound of laughter and talking coming from people all around as waiters deliver food or take orders here and there, while everyone enjoys their company as jazz music plays in the background. ( I hope I made sense lol)
I totally feel the same way! For me it's a fancy retro bar while you're sitting at the window with a glass of whine and I cigarette watching the fun but relaxing colours of the night life around you. Funnily enough I do none of these things but I love the elegant and relaxing vibes!
Imagine sitting on beach front while sippin some wine cross legs with this kind of music as your background, while watching the sunset..hope to experience that with someone i can call my hubby 😊

I play jazz every day, can't ever get enough of it. Been in love with it in all its forms since I was 13. I'm now in my 40s and I'm still a bit of an outlier. I don't know many women fans of the genre. Musicians, yes, fans no. There are few of us scattered all over the world.

A dimly lit room, a tinged smell of cigarette smoke and mothballs floats gently in the air, the room lined with memory's and regrets from a time I would rather soon forget. But how could someone forget a face like that? Smooth yet cold. I recline back, take another sip of my aged scotch and check the time, "2:36 am?". I take out a cigar and light it, take a puff and put it to my side. "Wonder what the boys are up to these days..." I sigh. I tap the end of my cigar and take another puff. "Welp, guess I should go to bed"

when I listen to jazz the first instinct I have is to close my eyes. I imagine, a romantic night full of candles, a jacuzzi prepared with dim light and the best bottle of champagne in an apartment in front of the Eiffel Tower where you can only see the stars and the lights of the city. Reminiscing about my life while relaxing at home alone missing my daughters and my girlfriend. I pray that my daughters come home to me someday.
