man it's almost like we're back in the diehard 500 in 1993 again, and it's the 30th anniversary since that race even the same year when rusty flip in the final turn of the final lap in the other race that year, amazing huh.

I would much rather watch cars flip over violently than slam into the blunt end of a wall opening on the backstretch. That hit looked absolutely brutal.

Yeah because violent flips actually decelerates the car in gradual fashion, direct front impact is much more nasty due to sudden stop despite looking less violent....

I'm pretty sure multiple cars got airborne during a fall cup Talladega race a few years ago, I think JJs final season in the 48, no flips I think but I think it was Kyle and Kurt Busch, along with Bowman all got either on their side or airborne in that race, I could be wrong tho

Flips are spectacular and rarely hurt the drivers. I wish we could see more, like in the golden age of Nascar

Yeah that's true, the only issue with a flip in these cars is just be vulnerable to get hit in the driver window area like Newman in 2020 but that was kind of a freak deal. I would much rather Barrell role than hit a wall real hard for sure, at least in these cars. They look wild as well.
