The Minnesota Twins lost 2-1 to Tampa Bay, but David Festa (former 13th-round pick) put together another impressive start. He struck out seven over five innings of work while giving up a pair of runs. Down in the minors, Ty Langenberg (former 11th-round pick) impressed for Cedar Rapids. He delivered five shutout innings of one-hit ball with seven strikeouts. Also highlighted tonight from the minors were Walker Jenkins, Rubel Cespedes and Brandon Winokur.

Martin has got to make that diving catch. He kinda alligator armed that attempt. Festa is gaining some really good major league experience. Hope he can continue to show up in his next few starts.

I understand that Rocco likes to match hitters with pitchers later in games but I don’t understand why he pinch hit Vasquez for Larnach when Trevor has been very hot lately. I don’t know if it would have mattered as the Twins didn’t hit very well tonight

This lineup is really frustrating me with how dependant they are on one or two big swings.

With how great this farm system is, id really live to see them bring in a front line starter or a Huge bat in the offseason.

Starting pitching is this team strength, they need another bat in my opinion

@@jesiahwaldner1609 maybe youre right but look at the team right now. Pablo is playing much better lately, but hes been just bad for most of the year. Ober is for the most part good but has had at least 5 starts wheres hes been DESTROYED. Not just hit, but crushed. Ryan has been hurt for over a month now. And we have had to rely on Festa, Matthews, and Varland with mixed results. You aremt winning a WS with this pitching staff. No one is dominant. You need a true ace. A Dylan Cease. A Zac Gallen. A Zach Wheeler. A Corbin Burnes. This turns the rotation from a strength, into a weapon. I want this to be a team no one wants to face. And having an elite rotation would do that so well. Im not opposed to a bat though because this teams offense is beyond streaky.
