The alignment and stabilizing is key and beneficial for an inexperienced lifter and especially as one grows older with using heavier weights. For those that are well built and the muscles are already tight per se, their already in a correct position where they won't fall out of alignment much; unless they sacrifice form in the process. One can certainly over align and squeeze too much of the core where the opposite happens and energy is drained as a result. It's a balance and certainly comes with experience and seeing which works well for a particular individual. Keep up the great work boys!

I am 35 years old, started working in gym 2 months ago before that i didnt work for years. I am doing good job all natural just food and practise, but i have some pain in my middle left shoulder and i am limited with lot of movements because of that.

You should be natural especially if you just started. Don't even consider steroids until you've maxed out or close to maxed out your natty potential which is going to take a while. You can make some serious gains natty, especially if you have decent genetics. I'm 36, and I'm hitting pr's still which isn't that crazy, but i'm definitely the most muscular and strongest I have ever been, but I have been working out for years now. I think late 30's early 40's is a lot of guys peak when it comes to strength, and a lot of studies say that as well.

Keep moving the muscle with lighter weight, this increases the bloodflow in your shoulder and speeds up recovery.

I have a tendency to have shoulder issues - impingement and inflammation so when training shoulders I will always start with isolation movements (normally dumbbell raises) to warm up the shoulders before doing shoulder press. Yes it means I can't lift quite as much weight on the shoulder press but it's safer and I'm less likely to injure my shoulders.

ideally most are trying to get 10-15 reps with enough weight to hit the side delts to failure or close to it....straight arm is harder therefore you'd use less weight (but getting many more reps) than you'd want to use to stimulate growth.
