The description of the Church as the body of Christ is one of my favorite metaphors especially as figured in 1 Corinthians 12. As Fr. Goring preached, Paul explains the diversity of gifts imparted to different members of Christ's body pointing out that some gifts are more prominent like teaching and working miracles whereas others are less visible and even unattractive. Paradoxically, he says that the unattractive roles are due more honor, and this leads to Chapter 13 where faith, hope, and love are extolled as greater virtues than speaking in tongues or prophesying.

I’ve been a premium subscriber for about a decade Father Mark and the news not only shocked me but also saddened me as I’m sure it did those who knew him and worked with him. And yet there’s hope, I believe, Fr Mark, bcoz at least he admits he needs help and is going away to get it, leaving behind all his work and his life’s investment of time and energy and missionary zeal. At least he admits he was in denial for so long but has now found he can’t let down his apostolate and all those who looked up to him for guidance and for camaraderie. As well, knowing of his past testimony about how he began this work years ago, and what he was before it, it’s really good to see he has the courage to seek help and admit his faults. That’s the good part bcoz God loves a repentant sinner. So many among us act as if we are saints already and put up an image of holiness when in reality most of us are broken inside and very wounded or addicted, or imperfect. That’s all of us in the inside as God knows. So it is indeed good and we pray he will be restored to what God had always willed him to be. Thank you Father for reminding us how easy it is to miss the boat.☺️🙏🏼

When anyone takes their eyes off of the Lord, they can quickly fall back into the sins of their past. According to someone he worked with, he just quit praying. Isn't that just about right? When we stop talking to the Lord, we are lost again. Gratefully we have a Savior who can pick up the broken pieces and make us whole again, if we surrender to Him. Prayers.

Father, it was devastating to hear what happened to our brother in Michigan. He has done so much good, has led so many souls to Our Father. He unfortunately was overcome by some demons, we must pray for him and the continuation of the organization he started

Every major religious and cultural figure doing good is being attacked by the devil and it's evil helpers pray for them and the Holy Mother Church.

How many times does Scripture tell us how Jesus "withdrew" or "went off to pray" to some secluded place. Do we need a better example than His?! Paraphrasing a story from the Desert Fathers. Upon his return from a village with some needed supplies, the monk reported that he was reminded why they must spend time alone in the desert - for a man to get to Heaven, he must avoid women and bishops at all costs! Will be praying for MV and those who are carrying on his ministry.

It was so sorry to hear about that. He has done very much good. He had been very prayerful but lately was noted that he didn’t show up for the prayers, a bad sign. But he can always come back again. The ministry he began has many faithful workers who will continue it. Now he needs to focus on his relationship with God.

Sad situation. I remember when Fr. Corapi stumbled. Satan is just a tormentor, we must keep praying. From what another colleague said he had quit praying, at least regularly. That then is Satans cue. My prayers are with him and the organization and those revling in his downfall.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, please take care to not speculate nor repeat rumors. Do not fall into gossip or calumny. Most of us do not know what happened regarding Michael Voris, nor do we need to know! If Church Militant sees fit to keep this private, that is appropriate, as it is not our business. I have met Michael and known him to be of great support to victims of abuse by clergy (including a man who was abused for years by McCarrick) when the Church cast them aside. He has done much good work in saving souls and leading people into the Catholic faith. He now needs OUR prayers and in Christian charity, we ought to pray fervently for him and for the apostolate he founded. Christine Niles put out a video statement on YT that I think offers a respectful perspective and encourage all to watch, as has John Henry Newman on Lifesite News. 🙏🏼💙🕊️

Thank you father Mark for not mentioning his name or his organization. I was very sad when I heard the news but we are humans and humans are not perfect and make mistakes. This gentleman did a lot of good, loves the Lord and he is very smart, but he is human and we are sinners, all of us. Let's not criticize him but pray for him, he is a good man who tried his best. He is loved by millions of holy people, lest us continue loving him and please do not criticize him unless you are sinless. Let's pray for him instead so that he'll go back to our Lord and His Church whom he loves very much. To him I'll say go to confession and God will forgive you, he knows that but felt I had to say it anyway. And to him I'll say: please continue serving the Lord in any little way you can. MV was at his most compelling when he confessed his sins, and I had respect for him. However, his ministry has become ever more caught in a vortex of animus. I hope he finds God's grace, healing and peace.

His long term colleague, ( she had resigned a few weeks ago) made a video explaining that Michael had recently stopped praying morning and evening prayers with church militant. She urges how important daily prayer is for each one of us so we do not fall back into Satan's traps.

This is so timely, thank you. My husband and I were just talking about the lives of Saints . And how you talk about them in your videos. I lived my entire life not seeing how their lives could teach me something. I thought their stories were out dated . What a waste . I could kick myself. The way you explain how we can use the lessons of their lives in our modern day troubles is just amazing. Thank you .

I had read the life of St Anthony years ago, and recently looked at again. What struck me this time was a very different picture. He really worked at a life of virtue. Going to different places to learn, with humility. What do they have to teach me? Because you are in community you experience that, and Because you know at any given moment a child, a plumber, a widow may teach you, this is so important. And if the plumber helps you, you still have to work with your brothers. The Blessed Mother personally did this with St Bernadette. She shared with her things that were for herself. Even later, her superior expected openness to her, but Bernadette had trouble. How could I after opening to the Queen of Heaven? And Bernadette was promised suffering, and received it. Than you Fr Mark.

Never underestimate the power of the devil. If you let your guard down he will consume you.Stay in the shadow of the Lord where there is protection

But here is the difference, the Church promote people involved in scandal like former Cardinal McCarrick and get rid of faithful bishops like Bishop Strickland. This private apostolate did the reverse, they asked someone who did not live up to its standard to leave.

Nothing inspired me more in the spiritual realm than the Way of the Pilgrim, desert Fathers, Saint Anthony of the Desert, Saint Mary of Egypt etc. Much as, sadly, I've not lived up to it. Just to say, blessings on you and your ministry as a priest. You are an example of someone who really strives to enter though the narrow gate.

Father Mark is so correct on the importance of prayer over the external manifestations. A higher up in the media network to which Father Mark alluded made a statement today. This higher up stated that the person stopped praying at the office 2 years ago. He discontinued the recitation of the daily Rosary which the entire staff had always said together. We must pray for him and for those who worked with him.

Let us remember the poor man when we say the Divine Mercy chaplet, for know one in this day and age can make judgment , remember the unborn in your prayers.

Father, please preach about the" Near Occasion of Sin" because this person had recently given up their prayer life and the the scandal happened. That's when the devil gets in.

We don't know. Only God knows. There may have been scandalous sinful actions. In any case let's remain humble and pray for alleged perpetrator and also for ourselves. Michael Voris posted a sincere apology and admittance of wrong, as well as, an expressed desire for the mission of Church Militant - St Michael's Media to continue. Fr Mark, I must say, your response gives the impression of a clericalist view with you & the other priest looking down on a fallen Catholic who's trying to get on track and has committed much to serving the Church, rather than a Catholic perspective of support for someone who has admitted wrongdoing and sincerely loves Jesus. I'm sorry to say that it is very rare for clerics to admit wrongdoing and express sorrow for their wrongdoing - when they're dead wrong and even left alone to continue to cause scandal.

Beautifully said, Fr. I know a holy person who said he had to see for himself what the desert fathers saw. He couldn’t just take their word for it. Too much was at stake. Afterwards he said he found true gold, only a little at first. But as the years passed, everyone could see he was richer than Croesus. His wisdom is now illuminating others.

We must be full of forgiveness for this individual. He has done so much spiritual good works in the past. We have all sinned and fallen short but God has granted us salvation, a pardon. May he go and commit that sin no more.

How many on this platform or any other , have put their faith in God and saw what they are doing since 2019 , instead of listening to man,s lying hypocrisy . Don,t trust anybody to tell you their truth , after all he did say search for the truth and it will set you free .

He many times was at the helm of the boat...and he was unmatched in his delivery and blessing he was to me personally...I would suggest you ask your members to pray for him...because to be 100% he is irreplaceable in the gifts God has given him

Voris was given something like 50 million dollars by people he sold his product to. I pray that Church Militant disappears completely. And I hope that Voris never gets a large audience again; though with his narcissistic arrogance that might be to much to hope for.

MV might not love himself and thrust himself into his work to feel worthy. I agree that he lost his focus. He took a big fall. He needs to examine pride, ego. An apology to his coworkers would be nice, but he must forgive himself. He will have a lot of work to do to uncover that which he’s been ignoring or hiding. It’s painful work. and we can pray for him.
