Stafford, Kupp, Puka, Whittington and Tutu . . . I want to see them ALL healthy at the same time . . . so bad! I don't like the idea of getting rid of Kupp for a 2nd RD draft pick at all. The ONLY way I would be able to part with Coop would be to get DE M.Crosby immediately.
I think the Rams will wait and see what happens in the next three games. Will Kupp play well? Will Kupp get hurt again? Will the team win at least 1 of the next 3 games? All that will come into play.
Trading Kupp isn’t tanking the season trading Stafford would be with Puka and Whittington there isn’t that significant of a drop off in the receiving room than with Kupp and Puka
Definitely an important consideration - this is L.A. You can’t just roll out young uncompetitive players (i.e., no star players to market, sell jerseys for, etc.) and think you’re going to accelerate rebuilding the fanbase… Especially with the prices of SoFi tickets/merch and the need for tv ratings… The question is whether trading Kupp inevitably also would lead to trading Stafford (in other words, trading Kupp means by definition you’re going all into the rebuild). I think that would be a bad move. Without AD, we don’t have a lot of star power to keep the fanbase excited (existing fans) and growing it (new fans)… If somehow it’s ONLY Kupp that gets traded (and by some miracle they actually got value for him - like the 2nd round pick they’re supposedly asking for), such that they still have a star player in Stafford to keep fans excited, then that could potentially work.
Rams trade Kupp then next year goes Stafford then McVay leaves & the next thing you know the Rams are a stinky gaping hole of a team for the next 5 years. That’s what happens if you trade Kupp.
RAMS fan for life. But the Rams look at 2 wins so far (Including against a washed up Raiders) and look ahead to the schedule, they see maybe 7 wins possible with continuing injury issues. HATE to see the end of Stafford as a Ram, or Kupp.. and already losing A-Aron Donald. But.. rebuild is a certainty.
If the Rams trade Cooper Kupp we can rest assured that Mathew Stafford will not re-sign with the Rams. The Rams should keep Kupp and let him retire a Ram. Then make him a wide receivers coach.
We need strategic patience. As long as Coop doesn’t get hurt Thursday night, our leverage only goes up as more WR’s come off the board because there are more teams that need a WR than there are WR’s available.
There is only one other QB in the league (and coach) that would light a fire under Cooper's a$$ IMO... JG16 🦁. Coop would fit perfectly as a Lion even though we are stacked in WR which will actually allow him to extend his career by becoming more of a clutch utility guy. I'd do third round pick at most. But that contract is a major issue though. And knowing Brad Holmes...I would not be surprised if he was interested. I think Dallas is realistic possibility, but he isn't nearly enough to help Dallas.
Let's see. Last week the Vikings lost a close game to the best team in the NFC, while the Rams won a close game over the worst team in the NFC. What do you think is going to happen when they face off this week. Sorry DMac, but we may need Travis for this one.
When you work for a large corporation like the NFL, you always want to interview as much as possible. Unless you’re a HC. That being said, I imagine #10, has been talking with his agent and have a good idea where he wants to land. Personally I hope they stay the course and finish what they started and they all walk away on their own terms.
We shouldn’t trade him. Stupid. We can’t keep practicing zero loyalty with our great players. I can’t think of a single Rams fan that’ doesn’t want him. I don’t think his ego is gonna require him to remain a #1. Can we let dudes get old with the team that drafted them. Especially if when they play they’re great.
If the Rams trade Kupp, they lose a lot of their young fan base, period. What little number of fans that go to home games, they don't pay hard earned money to see Snead or McVay. Trade Stafford if you want to trade somebody. Kupp should stay a Ram until he decides to hang it up, then he can coach our receivers.
I’m a 50 year Ram fan and I am okay trading both Stafford and Kupp to the Vikings which allows Stafford and Vikings legit shot at a SB! The NFL and owners of good franchises help each other. The Rams, KC, Baltimore and some others while there are SHIT FRANCHISES like Browns and Jets! The Sanders and Manning families would love their kids going to a well run franchise with a good coach and GM with owner with money! The owners and NFL will open windows for that to happen while also helping out another good franchise, the Vikings! Sean McVay has never drafted HIS GUY! This could set him up with HIS GUY!!! Broncos got their guy! I’m all for it if that is what LA wants to do!
I have Ram fan for over 50yrs, Rams making stupid moves trading LB Jones to Titans now he's traded to rival Seahawks , our LBs suck Reeder, Rosebloom cut them, get Spieghts, Hummel in there ,they blew LB Devin white, justin Simmons pickups ,if defense was fixed, and we get all Injured players back on offense maybe Rams could make run at playoffs
