The first low-level raker beams to reach ground level at Everton Stadium have been installed.
The steelwork, which supports the concrete terracing, has been bolted into both corners of the north stand.
The work coincides with the de-jacking of the blue, vertical hydraulic support trestles, which have served their purpose in holding up the roof trusses until fully installed and self-supporting.

I know this might sound a very odd question, but I’ve searched hi and low for this answer, and still haven’t got a clue. Why is the stadium capacity 52,888? Why not 52,000 or 53,000? What is so significant about the 888? Am I missing something very obvious?

I heard that the entire ground will be rented to Everton by a New York based company because Everton cant afford it , is that true ?

It’s a business thing......here in Madrid, Santander Bank (where I used to work) sold their entire financial center to a company and then rented it back......renting is sometimes better than owning especially if you need to move money quickly.....(I think West Ham and Man City and other clubs also rent their stadiums)......

Have you noticed about the everton dock move it all seems to be about the Dock ground nobody seems to be mentioning the road outside the Dock ground if everton move ground and they leave that road as it is outside the Dock ground its going to be hours getting to the match and the same getting to houses after the match there's going to be congestion outside and near the dock ground plus the rail network won't be able to handle the crowds eg match people and people leaveing work etc its going to be chaos your going to have 30 thousand cars maybe more ,plus coaches etc decending there the congestion is going to be horrendous and there is very limited parking outside and near the dock ground
