In October 2023: There were no direct hits from tropical storms or hurricanes in Aruba. The closest storm was Hurricane Lisa, which passed south of Aruba from October 27 to November 5, 2023. While it didn't make landfall, it may have brought some wind and rain to the island.
Where is the best location to stay at Tamarijn where no rocks are in front of your room? Looks like bunker bar area is very rocky. Is Divi better then Tamaeijn? We are thinking of visiting.
Hi Hyro! I know this was posted a few days ago, but how are the beaches now? My boyfriend and I are coming by next weekend and I was wondering if it will still be grassy or will it be/is it already cleaned up? Thank you for your walk-throughs!! I love your videos 🇦🇼
Thank you, I always enjoy your videos! I must say, the water still looks beautiful and clear, even with the seagrass in it. I live in NYC and after going to Aruba and other places in the Caribbean, I don't even bother going to the beach in New Jersey or Long Island because it's so brown and ugly. I stay home and save my money for plane tickets because Aruba spoiled me! Around 7:00 there were so many shells - did all of those conch die? Also a couple weeks ago there was an owl nest on the beach, are they okay? Thank you again for all you do!
You have a point 😊 I did not get any smell so I think these were old shells. The owls nest is still at the Divi but we havent seen them anymore so who knows. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much ! We are coming for the first time this Thursday ! Staying at the Tam. Hoping to have a marvelous time - it looks beautiful ! I suppose we can walk to the Divi for beach access !
You’re going to have more than a marvelous time! The beach is back and you’re going to love the Tamarijn. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Been there 10 times!!❤️
Thanks for the quick update! Glad to see the Fofoti trees survived and the amazing recovery of Divi beach. I was there in May and I'll be back in 4 weeks. Can't wait!
HYRO, Quick Question…Ok So it’s 6 of us going to be in Aruba in December on a cruise. We don’t get there until 1PM and we know that most of the beaches and things will be busy already. We were thinking of going to Reflexions Beach Bar and Restaurant, but there are literally ZERO videos from that Beach Bar & Restaurant. I was wondering could you maybe do a video on that place?
Hello there, thank you for your question. It's a place I would love to film but the music there is almost always so loud that it's not an easy thing to do. Will evaluate it again😊
I was there that week. It was a mess. sargasm came all the way up the sand to the walkway of the hotels. The water wasn't clear which was shocking. I've been coming to Aruba for 30 years and neve saw anything like that. They did clean up the next day but the water wasn't calm and not too clear.
Hi Hyro love the videos been a viewer for awhile we will be in Aruba on Saturday 5th year in a row staying at the Marriott should we reschedule what happened there?
We are arriving on Monday and I wonder the same. I looks a bit rainy - not much but continuously. We have a toddler in tow so not sure if the rain persists, if he will be able to play at the beach 24/7 as he had scheduled 😅. We are heading Eagle Beach. Anyone out there at the Eagles Beach?
Hi, from Tom and Marg in BC, Canada. Would you kindly give us an update how the Boca Catalina and other beaches faired? We spend a month in June and enjoyed that side of the island, lots of snorkeling for everyone, we did enjoy Eagle Beach a lot ..
Thank you Hydro for the update. My wife and I always stay at the Tamarijn and for the past couple of years Druif Beach hasn’t been so good. But WOW it’s back! Thanks God. And we will be coming this December to enjoy it. I haven’t seen it look this good in a LONG time! You made our day!
Thanks for the update, nice to see the clean up I am sure it will be back to perfection in 5 weeks when I arrive, looking forward to visiting your beautiful country. Cheers
It's unfortunate the current conditions there do not showcase the real beauty of the island. As a retired construction manager, we used to have a saying about all rehabilitation jobs... "The inconvenience is temporary.... the improvements are permanent!" Hopefully the hard workers will transform your beaches back to pristine conditions soon.
Hello Hyro! Thanks a lot for the update news! 😮 wow it’s sad to see this at Aruba! But I know the Arabian people will work hard to fix this before winter, I’m happy to see Divi beach much much better ! That’s a positive good news. Take care my friend! And hope to see you all the round in Aruba! 👍👍
Thanks so much, Hyro. Your video made us feel a whole lot better. Quite frankly, most of those old, smaller plastic palapas in front of the Divi were eyesores, badly in need of replacement, and a few were unsafe. We are glad to see them go, and hope that the Government will quickly replace them with the nicer, larger natural ones like the ones in front of La Cabana Resort.
Thank you for the update of this unfortunate situation. Coming back in 4 weeks, we are so looking forward to it. 💗 We were going to renew our vows but think we will wait until March when our son can come with us.
Just arrived back to Canada from RIU palace. This happened our last night there, we could hear the waves crashing from our room all night. The beach of the RIU was flooded with seawater. Nonetheless, it is very beautiful there.
@@eddycangolf Nothing major as I was tracking storms on my phone until 3am that night. Closest thing I found was a cyclone watch around Bermuda. Not too sure.
@@LetsgowithHyro Great They hauled sand in last February 2023 when we were there / in May we could see that some of it was already gone - hopefully this new stuff stays put so I can put my toes into it…. See you been getting beat up with storms and rain recently. We’ll be back in February / March - we will be looking for you out and about the island 😎😎 Stay safe
I have been to Aruba several times, the last time about 12 years ago…..I noticed a huge difference, the beaches were a mess and the water was murky and unclean…..I said I would never go back…….the island has been ruined by too many tourists and the water by ocean liners, banana boats and whatever else that tourists can ride on…..it’s such a shame as it was a paradise years ago………..Donna in Toronto
