We are being spoilt! one thing though, can you tell me why the interrogative singular ablative feminine pronoun is 'quō', not 'quā' ? (Both Jones and Sidwell and Cambridge Latin Grammar say 'quā'). Similarly, why is the singular accusative feminine 'quem' and not 'quam' as it is in both the sources mentioned? Thanks again.

that's a difference between the interrogative pronoun and the interrogative adjective. The interrogative pronoun has the same forms for the masculine and feminine, and they look masculine. Hence, "quem" in the accusative and "quō" in the ablative. I listed forms for all three genders for the pronoun, but often books will simply list two columns: one "m./f." and one "n." Like here: www.thelatinlibrary.com/101/RelativePronouns.pdf

HI PAWS it seems like there are also two schools of thought - 'feminine believers' and 'feminine deniers'! I've used the two sources I previously mentioned here in the UK - this article shed some light on it latindiscussion.com/forum/latin/feminine-of-interrogative-pronoun.11644/ Thanks for your fantastic contributions!

Interesting! Thank you for this info. It does seem right to me what a couple of the commenters on that thread say, namely that when a feminine form is used (like quam for instance), it's acting like a substantive interrogative adjective (with an implied feminam). But I'd be curious to dig deeper into the textbooks mentioned. On the other hand, it's a bit of a splitting-hairs semantic game, perhaps, for me (or anyone else) to say that an often-enough used substantive adjective isn't just a noun (like amans amantis).

A mistake I noted in the text on screen at 0:37 : When it should say "interrogative adjective = relative pronoun" it instead says "interrogative pronoun= relative pronoun"

Great! Thanks! Are you kind of following Wheelock's and what comes up there? I hope......

I’ve just been following my own inspiration (and what seems easiest to fit into song form...). I’ll take suggestions though!

@@HIPAWS I'm in an adult Latin class and we are doing Wheelock's. Your videos have been about the only thing that has enabled me to get memorized the forms I need! Absolutely the best stuff out there (and not juvenile cheerleading stuff that is just too hard to watch or use). Thanks again!!

How would an interrogative pronoun show up in a sentence?

e.g. “quis donum dedit?” (“Who gave the present?”), “quem amas?” (“Who do you love?”), “cuius canis est?” (“Whose dog is it?”).
