NO BODY CAN BREAK THE RECORD OF NORA AUNOR. HER VOICE IS UNIQUE. 16YRS OLD GIRL HAS A GOLDEN VOICE. HER MOVIES ALL BLOCKBUSTER. BREAK THE RECORD OF ALL TIMES. WE LOVE HER SO MUCH UNTIL NOW. ❤️❤️❤️
No one can ever surpassed her until now the best actor in 5 continents . She can never be replaced in our hearts until now senior na. Nora Aunor the Phenomenal Superstar of Philippines cinema
That's why Nora Aunor is called "Superstar" in the Philippines. Unbeatable star until now. She still has avid fans all over the world. I'm one of her fans, even I live in New york, nowadays I'm still her fans.
Everybody loves Nora Aunor..she is the Superstar of the Philippines..nobody breaks her record of being the most loved by filipino back then..i love her also..❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤
Nora Aunor is a singer and multi-awarded Filipino actress and National Artist. She's the most awarded actress in the Philippines both locally and internationally.
Nora Aunor's greatest ability was to express a full range of emotions through her voice. This was why she was successful not just as a singer, but also as an actress. She went against the stereotype, Philippine cinema being more biased towards the white skinned beauties due to colonial influences(Spanish and American). She was the lone exotic morena against a sea of mestizas. Her greatest rival during the golden era of Philippine cinema was Vilma Santos, an award winning actress, dancer whose pale mestiza beauty contrasted with Nora's exotic morena looks. Back then in the 60s,70s and 80s, you were either a Noranian or a Vilmanian, which was what their loyal fans were called.
She is one of the biggest star EVER. She was discovered while peddling food at a train station. She's probably the first Filipino to have a fandom called Noranians. Soon, this reaction will have a lot of views from her millions of fans.
Sadly her millions of fans have already gone 6 feet under the ground, but still she has tens of thousands of fans many of whom are not technologically equipped
Nora the Phenomenal Superstar. She broke so many records. Her movies blockbusters . In singing known as Golden voice. AS an actress she won so many awards in national & international.her tv programs last long. Philippines National Artist. My forever idol
And for the record, the legendary Ms. Timi Yuro was so impressed with Nora's voice when she front act in Ms. Timi Yuro's concert in Manila back then and wanted to adopt and bring Nora to the USA (Nora's mother decline). Nora's known as The Golden Voice, the Phenomenal Superstar. Number One Rated. Artist (NORA). Nora Aunor (NA) is National Artist (NA). And she stand just below 5 feet.
She’s a national treasure of the arts lived her life w nothing but sheer talent and commitment to the art. She is still a well loved personality esp of her generation now in their 40s onwards to 70s.
Wow!! Amazing… thanks for reacting to one of my idol The One and Only Superstar Ms Nora Aunor now She’s A PHILIPPINES NATIONAL ARTIST ❤🇵🇭👏AND A LEGEND HERSELF!!SINGER ,AND AN ACTRESS..
Thank you that you have continuesly supported Filiipino music. Nora Aunor is still an icon. She has acting awards here and abroad. Again, thank you and God bless you both. ❤❤❤
the dynamics, maturity in spite of her being only 16, the quality of her voice. the feelings and when I listen I fell IN LOVE with that magical VOICE OMG!!
My mom told me that Nora was called "the brown cinderella" back then. Because before she joined Tawang ng Tanghalan, she used to sell water on train stations. Kudos to Wale finding these vids. Love it.😍
It's nice that you're very enthusiastic to feature Nora Aunor and her legacy as a singer. The younger generation of Filipinos may only know her as a great actress because of her award winning works recognized in other countries.
She's really SUPERSTAR all over the world, The Firts, The One & Only artist, breaks how Filipino singer, artist as well, can conquer international showbiz scene.
My mother is a die-hard Noranian. If anyone say anything bad about Nora in our family, she/he will get a mouthful from mom. Now that she is 84 years old, we still tease her sometimes and she would skip meals or would ignore us if we don't take back our Nora negative comments. LOL. Nora is famous being an actress also, not just a singer. She comes from the same region as me. Her Himala movie is iconic. She is known as the Superstar of the Philippine cinema. I'm impressed that Waleska found her. We still have some of her vinyl records somewhere. To this day, there are still loyal Noranians out there. Nora Aunor has inspired so many people over the years. She is one of a kind.
Timi Yuro ("Hurt", "I Apologize", "Interlude"), a popular American singer in the 60s, was captivated by Nora Aunor's voice that she wanted to bring Nora to America. But Timi was not as influential as Oprah (In the case of Charice Pempengco).
She is our national artist of the Philippines, block Buster movies, TV shows for a decade, best actres here and abroad ❤️ Sold, out concert in Araneta Coliseum! ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏
Thank you very very much! Very nice of you my dear Waleska and Efra to feature the phenomenal, golden voice Ms. Nora Aunor. The only SUPERSTAR - great singer, award winning actress, and producer.
This brings back painful memories for me. I actually tried out for “Tawag…” when I was 15 in the 70s and passed the try outs (Bing Angeles-the auditioner-was brutal! Lots of people were stopped before they could finish their song and were told to get off the stage. It was quite nerve wracking!) but when it was time for me to actually perform, I couldn’t because my dad (who was in the US Navy in the US) wouldn’t let me and didn’t send money for the plane ticket so I never knew what could have been. I’m originally from the Visayas and have to fly to Manila for the contest which took place in May during school -another reason I wasn’t allowed to go because I couldn’t be absent from school-lame excuse, I know. Later on, while waiting for our paperwork to go to the US, found an ad in the papers from Vicor recording studio, Nora Aunor’s recording studio at the time (this was in 1973-I just turned 18). They were looking for a new recording artist so because I was bored, I answered the ad and somehow they called me in. I had to audition 3 times and got the job. However, I had to beg off because I never told them I was on my way to the US. According to one of my aunts who accompanied me to the auditions (I had an entourage of relatives while auditioning-it’s a thing in the PI) the now famous Sharon Cuneta was chosen to replace me because she was the second choice. Of course, I didn’t know who she was then found out she had become quite famous in the PI. Due to these circumstances, I firmly believe that no matter how talented a person is, when it’s not in that person’s destiny, it won’t happen. Of course, my aunt would always remind me of the “lost opportunity” every chance she gets. I believe it just wasn’t my destiny to be famous, that’s all. I don’t sing as often anymore esp since I’ve developed asthma and allergies cuz I can’t hold my notes like I used to. I believe it’s from moving all over the US and now, Okinawa. My lung capacity is no longer as expansive as it once was. Since I’ve just retired and will be going back to the PI for good, I’m hoping my allergies and asthma will disappear which is probably impossible but one can always hope, right? Yes, painful memories alright…
yes i agree, i wondered she could have been so famous artist in the philippine industry. Those are one of the opportunity that slipby your hands But she is much happier and comfortable in her life without bashers in the media 😊😊 Live life laugh
That’s the thing, God opens doors for you but YOU still have to be the one to walk through it. If there’s a will you can always find a way, no excuses.
NORA AUNOR IS THE BIGGEST FILIPINO ARTIST OF ALL TIME. A BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE STAR AND SINGER. SHE WAS GIVEN THE HIGHEST HONOR AS A NATIONAL ARTIST OF THE PHILIPPINES 💕
Wow! Thanks for featuring our very own Superstar and National Artist Nora Aunor. I suggest you watch her concerts, silver and golden anniversary concerts and other live shows in the Philippines and abroad.
You are AMAZING Waleska! You are very deeply knowledgeable of the music culture of the Philippines. She is not just a good singer but also a multi-awarded actress (locally & internationally) and a champion singer. A national-level singing competition was broadcasted live on the radio nationwide ( but not on TV; THIS WAS THE ERA of BLACK & WHITE) tAWAG NG Tanghalan 2nd or 3rd placer winners could easily be a Champion level singer s it is always very tight & tough competition and it still is until now.) A big cooking oil company PURICO (Parrot) was always the major sponsor. Congratulations to you Waleska for your research, only a few young generation Filipinos know about the origins of Tawag Ng Tanghalan.
😊 she' s our one and only superstar her beautiful golden voice and her younger teenage movies her eyes her smile her dresses her long hair her singing all so cute mersmerizing 😊
Nora Aunor has The most unique voice… before she was discover shes just selling water in rails of train shes just singing then suddenly someone a manager heard her voice so magical and Fantastic ..she won unlimited ..for How many months..undefeatable…The Judges just gave up..to give chance to other contestant..hhhhhh 😅😊and she can ACT no dialoque 😮 just using her eyes…😮
Please include also her acting career even up to this day...pls commend her works by citing and recognizing her films. Look at her eyes and definitely change your mood. She is superb and still remains SUPERSTAR...a gem, national treasure and national artist.
She's the first ever and last superstar of the philippines. No accolade was ever given to any existing artists of all eras as superstar in the Philippines but only Nora aunor. Her career was done but she is stil the reigning superstar
I actually watched that particular show way back then. My grandmother's house was among the few that had a tv in town. Her living room was full of neighbors (every time TNT was on). Everyone was wishing for Nora Aunor would win.
We have three top stars in the Philippines: Superstar - Nora Aunor Megastar - Sharon Cuneta Star for all Season - Vilma Santos The rests are constellation that followed them… 😊 You have to react clips of their famous and epic actings! 😊
Thank for featuring our one and only Superstar Ms Nora Aunor. You have acknowledged a once in a lifetime true to life Cinderella story in Philippines history. It is indeed an incredible, amazing, beautiful experience that my generation had been a part of her on going lifetime achievements. 🙏👏😊😍
She broke the record in movie industry by that time who become a superstar with a beauty of a plain typical Filipina...almost who become a movie star at that time were mestiza or mestizo with a mixed blood of foreigners or a taller ...An american music producer wanted her to bring in US to launch her an iternational singer but Nora never want it to other countries...
One more thing, Nora's Golden voice is God-given because they were so poor and she never had any school vocal training to develop her talent during her early teen years in a remote poor province of Iriga in the Bicol region. I remember giving you a link, maybe last year or two, in one of her live concert in the USA way back late 80s. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_UKMIa1r1jg.html
Rewatching. Swooning over both of your objective assessments. It is truly fascinating to here you both because you belong to the now generation and are foreigners. Outright raw comments! Been a Nora Aunor follower for 57 years now. 😊
You guys are so amazing and really have a deep appreciation and understanding of music and arts for you to appreciate performances like this..I love watching you guys ❤❤
Before Nora Aunor rose to stardom via Tawag ng Tanghalan, it was Diomedes Maturan (grand champion 1958) who breezed through the competitive Philippine showbusiness because of his golden voice. Like Nora, Diomedes did not possess the typical mestizo/mestiza features which were the norm during that time. But because of his velvety voice, not only did he receive recording contracts but lucrative movie offers as well. Incidentally, the very first Tawag ng Tanghalan champion was the Spanish mestizo Jose "Pepe" Pimentel (champion 1955). He also became popular in his own right although more as a tv show host. As a singer his repertoire was mostly spanish songs. In fact his winning piece in the championship was the popular ANGELITOS NEGROS, a bolero based on a poem by a Venezuelan poet. Hope you could also react to these two legendary Filipino singers.
Nora Aunor has been around FOREVER and has affected and influenced generations of Filipinos. Wale Iida you’re up to the search challenge, one of Nora Aunor’s early blockbuster movies was filmed in the US and co-starred Don Johnson and Davy Jones of The Monkees. She sings in it, of course. 😊
Oh I loved this episode efra and waleska thanks for bringing back lots of memories brought by Ms Nora Aunor Music, from then on Tawag Ng Tanghalan produces lots of supersingers, thanks you two 🤗❤️
Nora Aunor and Don Johnson starred together in a Filipino movie called Lollipops and Roses which was directed by Artemio Marquez. It was produced by Premiere Productions and was filmed in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The movie was released on June 5, 1971 in the Philippines.
TRIVIA: Nora Aunor, Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo were all 14 years old when they won their respective singing competition. But unlike, Regine and Sarah, Nora transitioned herself and concentrated on making awa4d winning films that made her as one of the greatest and finest actresses in the world.
Nora Aunor.. I was in grade school when she won Tawag Ng Tanghalan. She became the phenomenon superstar in the start of the 70’s. Her voice was so soothing it became my lullaby song for my kids and grandkids. I’ve watched her live concert here in Chicago 2004. I was lucky to watch and got acquainted with her personally. She lost her voice due to an accident when she had a surgery in Japan few years after that. I miss her singing. Thank God for RU-vid and some of her performances were uploaded. Thank you for featuring her.
Nora Aunor was called the Superstar the most popular artist in singing acting not only in the Philippines but also in Asia She also won best actress at Cannes Film Festival several times
Nora Aunor's voice is so different from the voices of new singers nowadays which are so ear irritating..but Nora's voice is so sweet and very pleasant to hear..there has never been a singer whose voice is like hers..❤
she is not just a singer, an artist and all, there wouldn't be any Morissette, regine, Katrina and etc if it wasn't for The Nora Aunor! she is the icon of the icons, she can make you cry in her songs and definitely she can make you cry when she acts period!
In the 70's, the TV channel was owned by the grandmothers and mothers when it was the show of Nora Aunor. We youngsters then cannot change the channel and watch our favorite show like Combat. 😂.
I am proud about her...when I was in elementary my father always brought me to cenemas to watch movies...she is the most popular during her days...she owned the golden voice❤️
No one else can be in your level in reaction , I'm amazed by your wonderful aura, hope you mention me to let you know that your the best, your never know but you two are so famous here in Philippines ,
So many talented Filipinos so Tawag ng Tanghalan has to set their standards high...talent is it. Nora Aunor was like and sounded like those 40s, 50s singers.
I'm not surprised how Latinos endear themselves to our one and only Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor. Your very well-researched and spontaneous vlog captured her early days very, very well. Indeed true appreciation of great talent knows no boundaries--and we Filipinos are also proud of our Ate Guy's phenomenal rags-to-riches story, from teen idol with that Golden Voice that was so extraordinary for a girl of her age back then to multi-awarded actress who has set that benchmark for acting excellence in her flicks that have won critical acclaim both here in the Philippines and in cinematic circles abroad. Muchas gracias indeed for your wonderful presentation :-)
At last ..the golden voice of Philipine music industry miss Nora Aunor featured ..the most awarded the biggest star that Philippine produce you may watch Miss Nora Aunor singing live in Handog at Gold concert produce by abscbn...Baliuag Bulacan
