I see the comment about a lighter weight helping performance, and I would love to see the mfgrs offering that in their mystery boxes. All the mystery boxes I opened recently had near to max weight discs, generally in the 173g range and I thought wouldn't it be great if I could get a choice in weight. Like offer a box with a range of 165-170, a version of max weight and maybe even a lighter box, of 160-165g.
I think you just don't have the armspeed for the honor. I throw my orbit one as my "normal" most overstable fairway-driver, chucking an Ahti in there if I know the winds are up and sniffing at 10m/s (20-25mph), but for me the orbit honor is a 100-110m (330-360 ft) neverflip disc with a solid fade. I love it. Speaking of which; It would be *really* helpful if you can list how far each of the shots go. I hate it when reviewers don't do that, because if it's significantly different from how I throw, the flight I see isn't what I'm going to get. My first disappointment was after getting an Anax based on how Ezra Aderhold throws it xD
I live up in Maine where we've got a ton of those 300ft tunnel shots lined with trees and the Brave has been such a great forehand hyzerflip disc for me. You can definitely burn it over if you don't put enough hyzer on it but when you get it up to flat it seems like it glides forever. I'd probably give it a -2 turn but it is absolutely a 6 glide.
Sorry we’ve been lacking on content lately. Our work and little girl have been keeping us busy! JustDisc is still alive and well 🙌 More content coming your way 👍
dude I love the savior, that gummy plastic is just a better zone for me, and it is fantastic for the patent pending shots. I am kinda worried about using it so much as getting a spare or a replacement is going to be difficult for a bit. I hope there isn't a drastic change with the normal run.
Feel the same about those type 9 speed thunderbird type discs, I’d just go 7 speed or 10-11 speed. Seems like im throwing them too hard if throwing for distance and I’d throw a tee bird if I don’t need the distance. Do like my understable 9 speeds though
It's too bad that Grand plastic only comes in max weights. I've always wanted to try a Grace. Fortunately the Westside Sword flies exactly the same and it's available in light weight VIP AIR and it's half the price! I'm sure the grand plastic is nice though.
Soo, somehow your cadence made for it to be interesting to watch after seeing them on a multitude of places online already! That Savior have looked so "not interesting" until now, the shallow rim (eMac Truth-isch minus the microbead?) looks perfect for my forehand I'm using what they call "power grip" on my forehand shots. Getting hyped about the box way to late here xD
Had to return mine. I putt with the Hope so the main reason I got the box was for the grand Hope and it’s completely different. No concave top and much deeper. Feels like a Faith now.
I like the savior. I still have my jawbreaker zone but I use the savior when approaching from a further distance as it has more integrity. It’s landed on rocky greens and hasn’t had any damage in a year. Looking to add a moonshine savior to my glow bag. How is the glow? I heard it’s better than their old moonshine which was one of the worst out there
Looking forward to the new molds. Wouldn't hurt to have a slightly less stable Rive and Explorer. I've seen people living the Brace especially. Thanks for the unboxing Justin!
