Here's a comparison of my two most recent telecaster-style guitars, the Latitude Lark, and the EART T-380. Both are excellent instruments for an outstanding price.
04/26/2023: I bought the Eart T-380 in white, and I love it. The only thing that I would have liked more would be rolled edges on neck wood. Also, the rounded end on fret wires actually hurt my first finger. They are too high. But, I can fix that with a jeweler's file myself.
I like the sound of the Vox amp over the Fender amp used in your other Eart t-380. The Fender was way to bassy. I would go with the Eart over the Latitude. I have the Eart NK-C1 Tele with single coil pickups with the flame maple veneer top. Have seen quite a few reviews of the Eart T-380 and everybody seems to love it. Thanks for the review Tony. If you have or know of a guitar friendly place for rent let me know. I have to move out of the place I have rented for 10 years in Asheville cuz management is going to turn it AirBnB.
That is a tough call between them for sure. I think if push came to shove, I think I’d go with the Lark for a couple of reasons, one, as I’ve said before I prefer a hard tail guitar, and two, I have more guitars that are dual humbucker than classic Tele setups.
Hey Bruce - since I play both Fender and Gibson guitars, I really don't mind the differences in the radius. If I want to play some fancy stuff I do tend to go for guitars with the 12" radius or higher - but honestly, most of my favorites are Fender style with 9.5. Interestingly, my favorite in my collection is a 1989 American Tele with a 12" radius - which was kind of revolutionary at the time I bought it. That's the one I played in probably 8 different bands, and it's the one that helped me understand the versatility of a telecaster (and just rolling off some treble, etc.).
Which guitar do you recommend? I lead worship at my church and just looking for the nut width similar to 1.6578 but also dont wanna spend a ton so was wondering your thoughts which guitar is better than the other?
M Musi has a direct competitor to the EART. From what I hear the tone and quality as well as playability is superior in the M Musi but that’s more like a Corvette vs Mustang, both good.
Hey Raf, have you played the EART 380? If so, how does it compare to the musi virgo? Edit. Just checked your site and see you did play the EART. How do the 2 compare, quality, sounds, etc?
@@summerboy1958 Can't go way too into detail since I'm working on a detailed comparison vid but. Sound wise they are quite different. The virgo is more aggrressive and less defined and the Eart is more PAF balanced tone. Both serve a purpose and both are nice. Comparably nice. Hope that helps and keep an eye out for that vid 👀
Latitude has a prettier and a more unique looking headstock. And Latitude neck looks like an actual roasted maple; the neck on Eart may not have been roasted as much, if at all. I suspect the neck on the Eart is much thinner, too. Both should be comparable in quality, but skinny necks of Eart guitars don’t work for me. If I could get a wide/fat neck from Latitude, that would be my choice.
