Steve Smith sits on TV like he was a great player, but always got considerably outclassed. He wasn't even competitive on defense. The 99 playoffs and the 99 Knicks were some good ass times. Spree!
Steve Smith was no longer in his prime at this point as injuries and surgeries had helped accelerate his decline especially in defense. I'm a Knicks fan. Even when he was young and healthy he wouldn't have been able to keep up w Spree or Houston.
@You Tuber maybe so but the hawks were the higher seed and the banged up Knicks were the 8th seed and barely got passed miami in the first round who eventually went on that magic run to the finals

After the '99 Knicks got through a brutal 5 game series against the Heat, I remembered how the Knicks played so relaxed and poised against the Hawks in this 2nd round series. Houston and Sprewell went off against Atlanta. The Hawks had no defensive answer for them. Even Patrick having a bad game 1 and in constant foul trouble outplayed Dikembe on one leg.
