I Absolutely LOVE Oud For Glory!!! Im Surprised At The Amount Of Compliments I Get Wearing It. People Actually Stop Me And Ask What I'm Wearing As Their Eyes Roll😂 I've Had Children Compliment Me On It. Once That Maceration Happens, It's On Another Level!!!... Ooooo I'm Excited For When You Open Lattafa Amethyst (Which Was Actually My SOTD) It's Sooooo Good!!!
The Oud for Glory is a heavy deep Oud woody scent! It layers great with a Tonka fragrance I have. The Oud for Glory dry down is nice. Initial spray is very strong though!
I am Team OFG (Glory of course) and its a bit of a head turner straight off the bat. One my most top notch scents and have never had any complaints. Pure bang for buck, to be honest the OG would need really need to extra superior to justify its price tag (will try a sample when I get the chance)
I really like Oud for Glory, haven’t tried Oud for Greatness though. But Lattafa fragrance is pretty solid on my skin after some days, it lasts 10 hours with a bit more than moderate projection, I’ve used it going to the bar with friends, in elegant meetings, even on date nights with my girlfriend and got me a lot of compliments too. But as you said, you have to like oudy/woody/dark fragrances to enjoy it. I have all 4 fragrances of the Bade’e Al Oud line and think that for the price, they are really good ones. Nice video!🤙🏼
@@akashchatterjee2004 according to my taste and experience: 1. Oud for Glory(woody/oudy/spicy), (9️⃣ fall-winter): ten plus hours longevity, moderate to heavy projection, the most elegant and masculine to me. 2&3. Tie between Amethyst(rose/oud/amber) and Honor & Glory(fruty/sweet/vanilla), (8️⃣,5️⃣ Spring-Fall-winter): twelve plus hours longevity, heavy projection, both completly unisex and perfect to get attention but in diferents ways, one more bold(Amethyst) and the other more outgoing(Honor & Glory). 4. Sublime(fruty/floral/fresh), (8️⃣ summer-spring): eight hours longevity, moderate projection, could be unisex but more on the feminine side to me.
I have Oud For Greatness and on my second bottle of Oud for Glory. Here’s the deal, Oud for glory is not a really bad scent it just needs to be sprayed about 10 times and sit in a cool dry area. The older it gets the better. Oud For Greatness on the other hand comes ready straight out the box✌🏿 nice opening and one heck of longevity on me 12 plus hours. On a good day only about 3 to 5 hours on Glory. Old saying is you get what you pay for✌🏿💯💯💯
I get a strong alcohol blast initially from oud for glory. Nowhere near as smooth as oud for greatness opening. But once it starts to dry down, the lines between the two really start to blur. I would say that to the average person, in the air, they’d have a hard time telling them apart.
Got my bottle in today and the opening immediately reminded me of Musky Oud by Rihanah. Oud for Glory has a much more interesting and pleasant dry down though.
@@rottenrebels I’m afraid that I can’t help you with that since I have never smelled Oud for Greatness. Musky Oud is also a cheapy (I can get it here for about 23€) but where Oud for Glory shows an interesting development in the dry down and scent profile, the Musky Oud just fades out, basically unchanged. But I am just a random guy who likes to buy a bottle of fragrance every now and then and I am anything but a trained nose. I would love to see you doing a review on it.
My neighbor smelled it and got me to order 3 bottles it immediately. Only one person I know didn't like it. This crazy cat lady on my floor doesn't like it. She sprays febreeze every time. That makes me want to use it more
I have Oud for Glory and I enjoy it. It’s still pretty new, and to me, it’s not a strong performer. It’s a very nice smell and I hope performance improves as it gets a few months older. Never tried the OG Nice video! :)
Thanks for sharing 😊🙏 yeah performance at least right now does not seem to be on the same level as Oud for Greatness. My bottle of OFG is beast mode and this does not last/project like it. Will hopefully develop a bit with time 🤷🏽♂️
@@mostarticaltravels6532it definitely smells better, I’m revisiting this fragrance after having left it alone for 3 months and it’s killer. I never knew this about certain Oud fragrances
A great review. Your take is spot on to me. Its has the dna but not quite. After months to macerate it becomes more wearable. I Have yet to wear it outside of the house… if ever. Also have Supremacy In Oud and that stuff is Strooooong. Much less wearable.
Thanks for sharing! I've been thinking about buying Supremacy in oud since I enjoyed the other ones in that line so much. Which of them do you feel is the closest to the original?
Rotten Rebel I'm going to try oud for greatness this week I ordered a 2ml samples from scent split.Could you tell me what I should smell when smelling oud as i sample d Interlude man but I don't get what Oud is
i HATED oud for glory for a year then it clicked. went thru a bottle fast...then i got amytheyst.....gone thru 2 bottles now third on its way. king of oversprayers. lolol
Is it just me or does anyone else have this issue where theirs doesn’t perform? Doesn’t last longer than 30 seconds, do I need to let it sit for a while? Need help
@@rottenrebels I’m not sure, I can smell every other perfume fine without issues, I can smell our for glory too but the smell is gone after literally a minute max. I’ve checked if the perfume is authentic idk why anyone would fake a clone lol I’m unsure if it needs maturation or if it’s fake
I got one recently based on the hype, and I also thought it fake since I literally couldn't smell it on skin after like 30 seconds, talk less of cloths. But after a few more daily usages, it started to stay longer on me and I'd get whiffs of it during the day. Although for now projection is nothing like Sauvage Elixir type thing, I think it's gradually getting there the more I use it, if you get me. So maybe it does need time to maturate, then you'll perceive it more. By the way, is it EDP concentration you bought?
@@reubena.b9971 I’ve got the oud for greatness that performs great I’ve had it for a long time now, but my oud for glory is what I’m talking about, it performs terrible I go nose blind to it everytime, it smells like rubber and disappears after 30 seconds
Is my oud for glory supposed to smell like potting soil 100% only ? I just got it today and thats all i get and who would wanna smell like dirt?? Is mine a bad batch or whats going on please help??
The question is, is Greatness 10x better than Glory? Because if I'm paying 10x the price, I'd better get a 10x better fragrance, and I just don't see that happening.
Hopefully I get to smell the original sooner or later so I can tell you. If it's significantly better than this clone then it will be my go-to for life
It’s nice but DO NOT CONTINUALLY DO SIDE BY SIDE SKIN TEST COMPARISONS. I’ve had mine for 2 years and on several occasions I’ve been able to go to Saks and spray INITIO one one arm while wearing LATAFA on the other. The more I did this the less I enjoyed the Lataffa fragrance. Lataffa is absolutely worth the $30 cost and Initio is not worth the $320 discounters price. I have seen a tester bottle for $200- that’s priced right if you ask me.
Let me say this. There’s two types of noses in this obsession. The beginners looking for instant compliments and then there is us that have been collecting for years. It smells in the air like a glimpse of OFG but once you have smelled this true Masterpiece of a fragrance, you know the difference between trying to him and being HIM. CLASSY MEN STILL LIVE. 🎻
For the price lattafa did a great job. I agree in the differences. Also think oud for greatness has more of an oudi smell and the quality is unmatched. Afnan has supremacy in oud which is smoother, stronger and has more of a dry woody smell and a less sharp spice.
I have a sample of the original. After it dries down I mean late dry down it smells like sun tan lotion to me. I don't pick up on oud. If there is any it's not the skanky barnyard oud. More like Indonesian oud.
Inspired by yes, clone no. Awesome review, much respect your not a 95%+ same clone reviewer, so misleading to ppl. You described the differences best among the youtube reviews so far. What you call the brightness at the top is a massive part of the fragrance, so with that missing it's not a clone, or not a close clone.
@@rottenrebels the ones I have , Qaeed (golden bottle ) is best performer and typical middle eastern tobacco cardamom type scent, ameeraloud is also very good. Actually lattafa maahir is best performing in my collection but it’s too floral for me
I love Oud for Greatness, and although I am a big fan of Lattafa (have been to their outlet in Dubai in January and came with 15 fragrances back), I am not a big fan of Oud for Glory. This is not a bad fragrance, but it smells very artificial in comparison to Oud for Greatness. You can't blame Lattafa, Oud for Greatness is a masterpiece, and for the price how should they come close to it. I think it falls short, and Lattafa has made awesome clones, but thisnis kot one of them. I would say Afnan Supremacy in Oud does a much better job.
haii, please compare afnan supremacy in oud, oud for glory, haltane, and oud for greatness at the same time, i want to see ur reaction to it, and hopefully u like it
Oud For Glory was of the lattafa's hits when it landed but now for me its passed it time since clones evolved even the new lattafa smells in quality much better than these one, and if you asked me what oud for G would you choose i recommend two the twist one : Afnan SIO or Armaf Odyssey Aoud ps. i bet my money on this check out the brand Arabiyat prestige a bit more expensive then these lattafa's and afnan but you will not believe what you going to get 😁
This fragrance is amazing. If it has a funky smell out of the box, just spray it a couple of times and let it sit for about a month. For me, i love the opening, the first 30min has that harsh oud smell that i really like and after the first hour you get the dark sweet-dirty smell that people enjoy for some reason. I have had great feedback with this one even thou people say it's not as easy to wear, but i actually find it quite easy and pleasant.
@rottenrebels Honestly, i would love to know that myself. I don't own Oud for Greatness. I will most likely buy a sample of it and compare them. So i will come back with an update one day. But for what i have heard and seen on YT. They are very close. But of course, the original is better, and I don't doubt that myself either. Although not by a whole lot, people say that it is just a bit less synthetic, more refined, notes are fuller and more vivd. So I'm sure I'll like the original.
Clone fragrances for life, I'd say no perfume is worth hundreds of dollars. YES, the niche fragrances deserve an appreciation for the art and craft but we don't buy perfumes to respect them, if you're a normal guy, a 200 dollar fragrance is never worth it.
@@yukikhan3367 you’re right 200 isn’t worth it . I paid much much more fore the majority of my frags and I have many clones including this oud for glory and to me the quality is miles behind the original .
