Her low E 6th string unfortunately sounds a little out of tune :(

Brazil performers were out of tune by intention sometimes. Strange sounding. She just needs to get with the electronic tuner.

I'm not just trying to regurgitate something in favor of her, but I play guitar, piano and sing some and purposely sing slightly out of tune some. The way I do it is first off, I know how it goes 100% in tune, but I will be just barely off on some limited notes in a song and then I try to play all the other notes perfectly in key, as best I can. Anyway, it's just off, so not a big alteration of the song, but what it does is it subconsciously makes the rest of the piece sound particularly good. I guess that would be maybe called something like "flaw dynamics." I made that name up just now, but i hope it makes some sense. I have noticed that some peoppe either accidentally or purposely play 99 percent, or more, of the song perfect and 1%, or less, purposely not not technically correct, usually just a bit off, so maybe a D when it should be a C. I'll play the mistake, but the take up to a number of notes I will improvise to "even out" the mistake. So, maybe, a D, then E, then D again, then C, then B, and end on C. Anyway, if played quickly it's like a bit of a trillish sound. I started doing that initially when I had mistakes while playing in public just so I could cover up my sucky mistake. Lol. But then I really started thinking about and decided it's one of my very favorite playing techniques. One day, my wife, who sings soprano and alto very well, said I practically never ever sing out of tune or make a mistake on the piano. If course that is so nice of her and not true, for sure, but it tricked her in a good way by turning into a short trill of quick phrase to just incorporate it into the song instead of apologizing, stopping, or being unnecessarily harsh on oneself. . Pretty much every Also, I think some people just come across as too stuffy and throwing in a very limited amount of barely off notes sounds better and more real and works well for a more uptight-type people when they play. That is as much as I can come up off the top of my head. I've been thinking about my mistake fixing technique lately so your comment got me thinking about that. So, thanks and have a lovely day. Cheers, Joseph.

Beautiful but it's a shame people think this is jazz.

Jazz Vocalists used to just add a splash to a mostly instrumental song, but music categories are sometimes hard to define I have found, especially for such a unique gift as Laufey is. We're so lucky to be alive to hear her beautiful songs

Considering that there's over 1,300 [sub] genre's globally now, I feel that it is a shame that we are still having to pigeonhole musicians art for the philistines who still require safety words, & for critics who like to assert their egoistic platitudes in presuming to know what the artist is "trying to do here" by once again lumping it all in a preconceived category. I invite you to just ignore it!
