She is my favorite artist. Her genre? Laufey. Yes she's her own genre

I would probably describe her music as pop, but in the classic 50s/60s sense of the word, with a lot of jazz and classical influences.

I think the genre of the first song "From the Start" is closer to bossa nova than calypso. In any case I really like her style and low sensual voice.

I've only recently come across this lady, but think it's just astonishing having a voice THAT rich and clean in a truly live performance. Those guys you haven't heard of? She meant REALLY Classical. They're from the mid 1800s. 😄

I think the pronunciation of her name is closer to “Loyvey”. She’s from Iceland.
