That moment with the kid had me in tears. What a wholesome and wonderful thing to do for that dad and his son, plus a new record to boot? Amazing, well done Travis!
Travis is one year older than me. So when I was a little kid racing dirt bikes I looked up to him. As a teen in freestyle motocross I really looked up to him. Now as an adult, a father, a rally and Subaru enthusiast I have admired Travis for his accomplishments and attitude for almost 30 years. He doesn’t have to swear or put on an act to be cool. He has a genuine attitude and an incredible amount of skill and focus and drive. He’s been my favorite athlete for most of my life and I really hope that someday I can meet him. What a great run, and a special thing to run up the mountain with those ashes.
As someone who as met him, he is probably the most genuine people I've ever met, his energy is inspiring. A true role model and if I find a way to make the money to compete in rally I hope that one day I get to race against him
Man... What an incredible episode. I'll never forget watching the World Record run the day it was released and being in complete awe of what had just taken place before my eyes! But to see this in depth video, and hearing the story of taking the ashes of that poor man's deceased son up the mountain with him takes it to a whole different level. That has to had made this even more special for Travis and the team. Great job, and congrats to everyone involved. This was beautiful ❤
These videos are epic. The narrator's voice gives me the tingles, the camera angles are top notch and everything is edited flawlessly. Big thanks to everyone that takes part in making these.
maaaannn, here i was just wanting a little entertainment to start my day off... but now i gotta stay in the house for another 5 to make it not look like i was just cutting up the onions. that was a freaking beautiful thing he did
It doesn't matter if this is the 50th season of Launch Control, or the first... This show puts a huge smile on our faces, and Brings chills down or arms and spines... It's literally that good. Thank you Subaru along side Vermont Sports Car, and let's not forget the production team. Dream come true.
Been a massive Fan of Subaru, Colin McRae and Prodrive since 1993 and owned only Subaru for 19 years. I thought my passion for Subaru in Motorsport had died until David Higgins and Craig Drew joined VSC. Then my love for the name exploded again. But I didn’t think someone could replace Higgins and Drew after they left. But thankfully Travis was there again to keep my passion alive. And that my friend became more than just Power, Speed, Aero and the likes and all went out the window after you agreed to take Alec’s ashes up the Mountain. Massive respect to the Team, Travis organisers and Alec’s Family. That was amazing to watch 👏👏👏👏 RIP Alec 🏆
TRAVIS has become the personification of automotosport for me, so much to give to the sport, to the people and humanity without a second thought without needing to put an act on just by being himself
I was on the OTHER SIDE OF MOUNT WASHINGTON!!! The day this happened I was on vacation with my buddies to go hiking, and the day after we drove the mountain road and I took pictures with the Subaru trailers. I MISSED HISTORY! I took this as a sign in my life that im close to my goal to be as close to Subaru motorsports as possible. If anyone at Subaru reads this, I would've been there. I swear I didn't mean to miss this 💔 CONGRATS TRAVIS! This was huge huge huge!!
This was an incredible episode! What a touching story in addition to the insane record! This car, this man, this team makes everyone proud who's involved with a Subaru! I feel bleesed that i had a chance to get to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and i went beacuse Travis and the Airslayer STI, i wanted to meet them so badly. Travis is an incredibly awesome, cool person! You felt that when he signed for you something or took a picture with you, he spent that few seconds, or that minute with you. Respect to him!
That was the BEST EPISODE EVER!!!!! It was hard not getting emotional about the father losing his son but the fact that Travis was able to do that for that family is so inspirational that your Always Respect Travis Pastrana no matter what and support him.
I drove from Omaha Nebraska to Mt Washington in my 2016 Subaru WRX STI. That road is incredible and knowing your team has made it up there that quick is SO impressive! Love the story of how it all came down. Thank you for making this series year after year. I truly love the depth it brings to these stories!
The first thing i always expect while watching LC is adrenaline rush for every Scooby ferocius assault on gravel tarmac or anything!. Wow ... powerful powerful episode .. so sorry to the father and family who lost their son. Travis is so good at what he does .. he has every right to be cocky and stuck up and he's one of the most kind hearted genuine people we have in this world. If we had more people like him in this world it would be a better place.
