As old and dated as this is, it explained a lot. Learned a lot about my newly purchased bravo 3 out drive. Excited to hit the water this spring, and see how it performs.
They said a sterndrive not a torpedo. And they never claimed they were the first to have a dual prop. They only said that they were the first to add a dual prop onto a sterndrive system.
Have you used and compared the two? I can definitely tell a difference between the two. My friend and I had the same make and model of boat for a period. Both 26 foot sea ray bow riders. His had a bravo duoprop, and mine had an alpha one single prop. His handled better at slow speed, was faster, and used a considerably less amount of fuel. My next boat was a 28 foot Four winns with the bravo 3. I’m so glad I switched. It made my deck boat feel so effortless to maneuver. I think if you haven’t, try it. You’ll love it too I’m sure!
