Launch of RNLI Bridlington's Shannon class lifeboat 13-22 RNLB Anthony Patrick Jones on Sunday 6th May 2018. It was a busy day on the beach as it was a hot and sunny Bank Holiday Weekend!
This is what £3.2 million worth of kit looks like (boat/trailer/tractor). At least that's what the identical setup cost at Hoylake on The Wirral. Most of the cost there came from two legacies.
Because of local conditions you cannot keep a boat afloat, it may not be the quickest way to launch (it goes alot faster in an emergency) but its alot better than not having one, generally this method is used if there is no harbour or the harbour drys out at low tide or in bad weather the harbour entrance isn't safe
