"It is time for you to rise to orbit." Experience the excitement of a space shuttle launch from rollout to liftoff to orbit. Composed of stunning clips from multiple launches and a booming soundtrack. Includes a special slow-motion view of main engine ignition, and the wild freefall and splashdown of a solid rocket booster. Produced and edited by Ivan Myles.
The video was originally created in 2011 to honor the end of the space shuttle program. This is an updated version from 2012 that was not released previously. The source clips are relatively low quality which led to the 2013 videos "Launch: All Systems Go" and "Launch: Maximum Thrust" with higher quality footage.
