Finally a video fulfilling the "Not accidentally saying the 3DS launched in 2001 and the PS4 launched in 2003" market. Sorry for the re-upload, and thanks to everybody for pointing it out! I have no idea why I said what I said augggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.
@referral madness Together with the WiiU it had the biggest number of titles availible on any console/ handheld at launch! Of course Quality is debatable but in europe we only had 1! That was Tekken Tag Tournament! Ironically TTT2 launched with WiiU! And TTT is my number 2 of my fafourite games only behind SSBU! I even like it more than TTT2! The only thing i wanted Sony to do is to include the arcade version because it was 60 FPS+! Even if the graphics where lower! An option for better graphics with reduced FPS or the other way round would have been delicious!
@@nikkimvee4710 He makes several jokes about Pilot Wings 64 being more revolutionary than Mario 64 in other videos, for example in his Nintendo 64 video stating Mario 64 as "the reason you'd want to buy a Nintendo 64 if Pilot Wings was sold out" and in few other videos
@@Izhen_UwU Ps5 had decent exclusives at launch demon souls, spiderman mm,astrobot, sackboy, bugsnax and all the multiplats not bad. Xbox series x had no exclusives at all at launch.
@- ash - Yeah, but the Super Nintendo got the aame score and he had a couple complaints about that, so the Dreamcast should have at least gotten a 5.5/6.
This video contains a perfect intro if there ever was one, being that it involves receiving a restraining order and becoming legally obligated to create the video that follows said intro
Yeeeaaah they milked the original angry birds they just changed some textures, music, sounds and *bam* a "unique" game and the other games are just an rpg a cart racer and a candy crush clone + i haven't seen the new ones.
Companies should aim for a 4/6. A 6/6 might take away from the steady flow of games throughout its lifespan and a 1/6 would just make the console look crappy.
100% I'm surprised some of these launches were pretty(NOT that the system was of course) but the switch really has it made right now. I think Odyssey was also going to be a launch title but decided(and rightfully so) it was best for a later date

Hell yeah. One of the most batshit and original games I think I ever remember playing. I remember being in 2nd grade going to my babysitters house after school and playing for hours on the gamecube. (For some reason the Alaskan Bull-Worm level always freaked me out. There was like this bridge you had to cross later in the level which gave me super weird vibes.) Anyone know if that game still holds up?
For anyone wondering he reuploaded it because he said the 3DS came out 2001 and PS4 came out 2003 in the original. Edit:Also its in the title. Edit #2: he changed the title ignore the first edit. Edit #3: okay so scott now posted why he reuploaded it, I will not delete this comment
The Billy and Mandy game on Wii was surprisingly pretty good, actually. It was like Power Stone with Billy and Mandy, and it was weirdly faithful to the lore and humor of the show. They even brought in a few one-time and obscure characters, and most of the skins were based off memorable episodes of the show.
@@landanross2966 that was a slideshow on the 360 but at least it got a decent port of Quake 2 (which actually has a unique color renderer and full hd graphics at launch)
Honestly this remaster seemingly was a waste of time and is not worth your money, this truly emphasizes how greedy developers like Scott The Woz incorporated think they can just repackage an old video at full price with seemingly little to no changes present. For those wondering this version has: -no graphical or performance differences -only a couple changes in the form of bugs -and a title that was given a subtitle though Scott The Woz incorporated ended up changing due to them being worried that it will effect sales Overall this is a cheap cash in on nostalgia. 3/10 Bad
Honestly props to you man. Considering how over saturated gaming channels are you manage to find really unique, yet interesting stuff to talk about. It’s super cliche, but this channel is so underrated!
I didn't know what game the "Aquarium Park Act 1" from Sonic Colors song for so long, thank you for crediting them and using that song in this video lol
In retrospect, I have to say Super Mario Bros was amazing for a launch title (for any title, but ESPECIALLY a launch title). The system was brand new for most people here and not more than a couple years if you count Japan. I honestly would’ve expected regular Mario Bros or Donkey Kong to be the flagship game when you compare it to the other games on the system that were just a step up from Atari, but instead, we get Super Mario Bros from day one 👌
5:33 TETRIS DX IS NOT JUST A COLOR VERSION OF TETRIS. It has more music, versus computer mode, Ultra mode, and 40 Lines mode. Plus the controls are much smoother. No hate, but people say this too much.
Ya, but it is very similar, though I would buy the Gameboy Color regardless of the launch titles, as you had better battery life and efficiency, along with playing most older gameboy games with color.
I remember being spoiled for choice at the Dreamcast launch. Some great games there. I haven't bothered to get another console at launch, I haven't really been won over by a console since, sometimes taking years to find games that really persuade me to buy a system.
@@Jocaju3 I don't think that label fits, I've just become very picky with the games I buy and I ignore the hype train. I've dodged a few bullets as a result. Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 76, No Man's sky... I cut through the marketing B.S. I just choose to dedicate my time in one or two games rather than chasing what's new. As a side effect it means I'd rather sink thousands of hours into Warframe rather than dabbling with the newest Zelda game or throwing my keyboard out of the window because of one of those From Software frustration generators. If one of the console manufacturers put out a console that impresses me like the Dreamcast did I might hop back into into the console gaming scene but until then it's mostly just my PC and I. When I think of a "Casual Gamer" I think of someone that just hops from Call of Duty or FIFA to the next instalment every year or who just flits from game to game without getting particularly invested in any game. That's pretty much the opposite of what I am.
CrasherX 2000 it’s not for everyone. Personally it’s what got me interested in marvel as a kid so I hold it close to my heart, but I replayed it a couple years back and it’s pretty meh if you aren’t into the story. The story is great tho
The best thing to do with the PSP nowadays is to install custom firmware - My PSP is basically an NES, Genesis, PSone, and a sort-of-working SNES. Also, it plays PSP titles. Sony has even gone so far as to say that they don't care what people do with their old PSPs anymore. Pretty cool.
