Thanks for this great video. Does the Launchpad need to be in User Mode for this to work? Or it is in Session Mode?

I believe the Launchpad Pro is in Programmer's mode. You get to this mode by pressing and holding the setup button and the Orange pad below the session button. To go back to the default Ableton Live Mode press and hold the setup button and press the Green pad below the up arrow. The reason user mode is not used on the Ableton Live setup is because in user mode the bottom row of pads don't map chromatically. They're in a drum rack configuration so you can't sequentially map the row of pads to the crossfader.

Thank you for sharing this. One thing I don’t really get is how in session view you can have different tempos for your song as all clips are slaves to master tempo of the project.... please help.

Can't you do the same thing while in user mode and not have to worry about your lights coming on cause they will automatically

Did you find any alternative ? I got a hold of Instajungle but it was the 0.3 version need the 0.4 for it to work .

trying to dj with launchpad mk1 and live 10 using your tips but when I touch pads focus goes to midi chanel and I lost focus of audio chanel wher I have my EQ maped and I can't see nothing. :/

The downside of using Ableton like this instead of say, Traktor or Serato, is the load on memory since you have to load all the tracks in advance. It is better to crops all the tracks and load on the bits you want to play and pretty much remix live. But that's a huge task to plan ahead. The other downside is that you are limited to pay a pre-prepared list of music so, you cannot make requests, and you cannot choose songs depending on the mood and the dancefloor energy. I say if you want to DJ full tracks, get a traitor. I tried using able for DJing full tracks, it's a nightmare in the long run. Do yourself a favor and get Traktor.
