GOD I’ve missed your videos!! So pleased I’m able to catch up on the content. ❤❤ Another cracking video. Such a difference you’ve made overall. It never ceases to amaze, me, how beautiful the designs always turn out. Always love your design flair and the finished product.
Came to make my first comment on this series and found someone else beat me to it. Right handed opening fridge door seems like a better, more convenient choice. Maybe that’s one of my pet peeves, though.
Great choice of Sussex (Scala) tapware and accessories. It's not only lovely on the eye but Aussie made. I used it in my last reno (in silver). Great choice!
And who does a laundry room better than Lucy and Johno? Nobody! You’re designs are amazing! I was only a little disappointed that the laundry was not as wide as I would have liked, but that is my preference especially since there’s a “pantry” included. However, it’s still amazing! Great job, you guys! ❤️❤️❤️🤩
As always, you've given me so many great ideas! I grew up in a house without a laundry. Uni days the laundry was kind of the back entrance, then a house with a retro laundry, and now 26 years in Japan where a laundry is not something on most people's radar :) Which is why Japanese have had combo washer/dryers for the past 20 years. But here I am with my own reno and I can have a laundry again. Yay. And I am going to copy yours, minus the underfloor heating. Wish I could put a floor cooling system for my dog and I to lurk on, though... Is there still Blue-o stuff in Australia? My sister and I played with it in my gran's outside laundry 😱
Amazing reno! Taking lots of inspo for our bathroom/laundry reno that we're about to start. Where do you put the dirty clothes? Is there a pull-out laundry hamper in one of the cupboards?
Very nicely decorated. But first, love both your long hair. Wish I’ve the guts to keep mine that long. Then tie into 2 phonies? LOL. Frankly the scrawny plants did some injustice to your beautiful design. The one at the basin saved some show.
Maybe one on each floor? The master bedroom is on the same floor as the kitchen/dining/living room. I think someone mentioned that Jono's parents could live on one floor if one of them were to develope mobility issues. Maybe that's why they did two laundries?
Nice laundry, it turned out great. One question though, does everyone in Australia use driers? Does no one hang their clothes outside to dry with all that sunshine most of the time? That's the only thing I am wondering about as there is no where to stick a clothes airer or to dry wetsuits. The little rail over the sink is only for small items like swimsuits.
Depends where you are in Oz. Huge continent. Differing topography & seasons. Most homes in southern area/s of AUS during colder months, would probably have a drier. Use during winter (Jun-Aug) + maybe month or so surrounding those months, depending how far south you are (eg Tasmania), or your elevation. Most of Queensland + far north AUS is more tropical. Like Florida. They have a wet season. Torrential rain. Can create mould issues. So some homes in nth parts of AUS may have driers to alleviate these types of issues.
We are blessed with loads of sunshine, especially this winter, but in summer we had weeks of torrential rain in NSW which resulted in severe flooding on the coast - even in Manly (Sydney) where I live. Adore this series Lucy and Johnno - you are the best!
Love the choices of colour, tiles and cupboards but not loving that the cupboards didn’t go up to the ceiling looks a bit up finished and will end up being a dust collector.
