@@ValerieZwayer I remember that as a child there were days in Southern California when they announced smog alerts because it was hard to breath, but as I grew older that problem was eradicated. It honestly was a nice place to grow up. Now, as an adult I had to deal with traffic, which at first wasn’t that bad, that is except on the I 5, but in time it only got worse, and guess who made it that way. Well, I no longer have to deal with that, which is a relief. I’ll never forget the day it took me 4 hours to drive from Puente Hills Mall home, which was just north of Amar. That was a mile per hour.

Those days are long gone. Criminals now seem to have more rights that the rest of us. In the old days there was the concept of the "outlaw." If you were known to have committed a crime, you were considered to have placed yourself outside the circle of protection of the law. While there may have been a certain amount of cases of vigilante "justice" without proven guilt, it was probably a lot better that what we have nowadays.
