I think this performance is more easily appreciated after one is familiar with the recorded version. This is definitely a stripped down version and it’s possible that she uses her speaking voice too much here. Typically she uses it less frequently and it has a powerful effect.

I think this song is about some things someone said about Laura. She may be singing in an American accent to imitate that person. Can you tell which lines specifically are in American accent? I can’t tell the difference.
