Sometimes, it’s only a single instant or a mere unexpected meeting that blossoms into a beautiful and everlasting bond. The same is the story of our gorgeous bride Laura and hopeless romantic Stephen.
The couple tied the knot and exchanged their vows on 9th May 2022 at the stunningly striking venue of Lochside Hotel near Cumnock. Their memorable day was filled with fun, music, and lots of love. Laura and Stephen got married in the Glen Coal Suite which added to the splendor of this elegant wedding.
The gorgeous couple met of all places at a wedding. It was Stephen’s cousin's marriage way back in November of 2016. They shared shots of jagerbombs and danced together to the slow beats and the rest is history. Stephen pulled out all the big moves for the engagement and proved that he is truly a romantic. He proposed to Laura on her birthday while they were swimming between the turtles in Mexico. When the couple returned to the hotel, Stephen had arranged everything with rose petals, champagne, and strawberries. He organised a three-day celebration including a silver service breakfast in bed, a spa day, relaxing massages on the beach, a romantic dinner by the sea, and clubbing at coco bongos.
They fell head over heels for each other and finally decided to tie the knot after being together for so long. It’s magical how both of them met at a wedding so long ago and now they have gotten married in the pristinely beautiful location of Lochside hotel.
The wedding ceremony was held at the stunning Glen Caol suite by Gerri Douglas Scott with its picture windows looking over the gorgeous Loch of lowes. The day started pretty dry and then turned cloudy grey to later roll down some rain. However, even the rain couldn’t diminish the excitement of the day. We made sure that the rain and weather won’t stand any hurdles in our way to having fun and making this day memorable for our adorable couple.
We had an amazing time working with Ricky Baillie Photography for the first time and we made sure that we captured every moment of this extraordinary wedding with love and perfection. Both Stephen and Laura got ready for the big day in the lodges at the site. The boys even went on to have a dip in the lodge's hot tub in the morning. Once the vows were exchanged and the couple was married, the guests moved through the reception suite for a photo shoot followed by speeches and dinner.
After the dinner, guests were surprised by the Mariachi band performance. The couple originally planned to get married in Mexico, so they decided to bring a little bit of Mexico to their wedding. The curtains opened to welcome guests to the drinks reception room where they enjoyed the performance along with various tequila shots, Mexican hats, and maracas.
