If Nick Kyrgios is bad for the game then McEnroe and Agassi are bad too. Love him or hate him, he make tennis more entertaining. Even sometime he give up. He trash talk but that normal in sport.

I only watch tennis for Kyrgios, Monfis, Brown and other fun tennis players. If tennis want's to be watched by mainstream audiences then it needs characters who keep it entertaining. If it just wants to stay a sport for the posh then sure he's not good for the sport. He brings to much of the "riff-raff" into the game. Give him his punishments when he's out of line and get on with it. honestly I can't help but to see the classism rooted in a lot of the criticisms of Kyrgios especially the comments you see criticizing him for having "chav" hair and whatnot. Many professional athletes have an attitude when things go against them. I've yet to see anything unique to Nick.

Balotelli was garbage though. He had his moments, but overall he was overrated. A more apt comparison would be Ibrahimovic. Had Ibra not moved to Inter under the tutelage of Mourniho, he wouldn't have become the player and legend he became. Kyrgios needs a no-nonsense coach that can reel him in during those moments where he goes off the rails.

The bottom line is that more people watched that match more than any other match so far. People want to see a circus, does that make it right? No. Tsitsipas cleverly managed to get under Tsitsipas skin to the point that Tsitsipas exhibited bad behaviour that he hadn’t shown all season. Let’s face it, Tsitsipas hasn’t broken a racket or lost his cool all season until he went up against Nick. Nick knew how to frustrate Tsitsipas and make him lose control. Do I think Nick is bad for the sport, not sure. But he needs to be warned and not allowed to distract his opponents in the manner that he does. I felt sorry for Tsitsipas because he was made to look like the bad guy. Other than this match, tell me what other match did the Greek misbehave.

I used to love TslkSport but it is becoming more snd more woke. During this show they had a segment about the cricket. And just to take the gloss off the test match Laura had the raise alleged racism in the crowd …. except she forgot the “alleged” bit. Instead, as ever, it’s assume to be true, no need for evidence, no need to hear witnesses, no it must be true because someone said so. And Laura puts on the wallow voice of sadness. This happens all the time on this channel. Be it Rugby, football, cricket we all have to self flagellate irrespective if it’s true or not. Laura was great, Ali brilliant. but I guess if the paymasters demand the controversy they must deliver. This is a sport channel for sports fans not woke warriors.

He’s good for tennis especially in an unranked tournament like this Wimbledon where the would be favourite has been removed because of where he was born
Kyrgios is good for tennis if you get off on trashy reality tv. He’s exciting to watch for all the wrong reasons, and reasons that don’t have anything to do with tennis. And that would be all fine if he didn’t take himself so seriously.
