I am unable to override the automatic shutoff on my Lift Extra. When I press and hold the power button, the lights on either side do not light up. I have even tried pressing and holding the power button for more than 10 seconds. No matter what, all that happens is my iron shuts off. Any suggestions?
Hi Kimberly, Thank you for your question! We suggest checking the serial number of your unit. Our steam generators with serial numbers starting with '2103' and newer have a dual shutoff feature. To locate the serial number and model for Laurastar steam generators, you can find them on the base of the Lift. Hope this helps!
We purchased the Lift with cart this last Saturday at the Expo in Puyallup WA and it didn't come with a quick. start/ welcome booklet. It is the gray/ silver one.

Water with softeners can corrode the metal in the boiler, so it's best to avoid it.
