Great place to visit and explore. Follow Stan Laurel's life from his birth in this English Lakeland market town, through the years to his meeting with Oliver Hardy and their successful partnership. You don't have to be a complete enthusiast to enjoy this.

Brilliant love Laurel and hardy so funny best double act ever in my opinion, excellent video very informative, I’m in the uk would very much like to visit this museum when all this is over

I live in Northern Ireland and I usually take a weeks holiday somewhere in England every year and take in some thing that I have an interest in eg Cathedrals, Fraternal Orders. This museum is DEFINITELY on my to do list for the next time I'm in that part of England. During the current Covid-19 lockdown it will be something to REALLY look forward to. As Stan and Ollie's movie Sons Of The Desert is based on a fictitious Fraternal Order I must look it up and watch it as I have only ever watched their "shorts" In fact Oliver Hardy was a Freemason and that is where he got the inspiration for this movie although Stan Laurel wasn't a Freemason.I'm also not a Freemason but I've found this information out whilst studying the subject of Fraternal Orders and Freemasonry in particular. By the way Stan Laurel was Britain's best comical export ever, in my opinion,no other British comedian has come close. Sorry Peter Kay don't be sad as you are my favourite living comedian ❤️❤️😂😂

I have been to the museum and had my picture taken with the statues, there is a pub called the Stan Laurel with great food and the house he was born in is a short distance away. Ulverston is very small but Stan and Ollie are never forgotten, always make me laugh no matter how many times I watch their films. I try to stop but I just couldn't help it 😂😂
