One of my favourite Hacker lines was when a girl said about having cuddles with her 18 year old cat. “18? Better make the most of those cuddles, love.”
It's important to appreciate just how good the puppeteer is. Every reaction he has to unplanned outbursts is reflected perfectly through Hacker, which makes it so much funnier. World class.
0:53 i love the way the puppet leans on her like a real person might when laughing with a friend. the puppeteer is brilliant and the chemistry between these two is great
its had THIRTY THOUSAND HITS IN 2 WEEKS - for a video that isnt spammed not even promoted n the channel owner is nowhere to be seen thats incredible - word of mouth & comments can elevate a video from the depths ,its awesome
@@richiewarren547 what can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. You just try harder next time, Warren. That was a pathetic attempt.
I thought it was bc he was reading it off the auto queue and was just deeply disappointed that he had to say it ( hence the 'you're finished' directed behind the camera after he said it)
apparently they were on a night out when the police stopped two producers or staff or something and they kept going “we’re just normal men just innocent men”
dog's goose people, sometimes for fun. also neither of them are innocent, nor are they men. ...the more comedic beats, the funnier they found it. I also like Boof's idea
The comic delivery is brilliant, the puppeteering is superb, and the chemistry between them is just wonderfully endearing. Best random recommendation ever, I must have seen this 10 times already.
@@TheMelbournelad ....ummm...no, no...errrm...the dog's a puppeteer. Those wires you see from his paws are marionette strings. Phew. Don't tell your mum I said anything...
Great puppet guy. His puppet fall at the end of the video, too, shows how much he is commited to his artistry, even though he is laughing is head off after the outro goes wrong.
Only Connect (the BBCs hardest quiz show) just had a missing vowels round with the categories "Normal Men", "Innocent Men" and "One Woman and her Dog". Answer to the final question was Lauren And Hacker.
I've only discovered the clip in the last couple of months so 11 months ago that would have gone over my head! Only Connect quiz team/Mrs Coren Mitchell on point!
This makes me cry with laughter everytime I watch it. Its my go to for lifting my spirit. I am 60 and this makes me so happy. Would love a longer version with more before and after what we see here. Amazing chemistry between Lauren and Phil the pupeteer of Hacker. I watch this everyday. The best pick me up. Thanks guys x
“Goose….” Followed by the puppeteers laugh gets me every time, and I’ve genuinely watched this video easily 30 times. I could happily just sit and watch these two interact in their own show for the giggles and gaffs 😂👍🏻
I, an inexperienced American, am now desperate for a job where I get to interact with this British kids’ show character because this is legitimately one of the funniest videos I’ve ever watched
‘We’re just normal men… just innocent men’ is the dialogue I now have with my six-year-old son at least twice a day. We both find it funny and I still can’t quite put my finger on exactly what it is about the original that’s so amusing.
I think what makes it funny is the randomness of it, the not explaining. I remember cracking up as a small kid whenever my mom would say the word "Pferdchen" (German for horsie). When she asked me why I found it funny I couldn't explain, but it cracks me up to this day.
Like others, l have no idea how this ended up as a recommendation, as I'd never even heard of Hacker or Lauren (I'm north of 60 yo), but this is an absolutely sublime three minutes, which I think I have already watched more times than any other RU-vid video. Brilliant brilliant puppetry and the chemistry with Lauren is just lovely. This is my new happy place.
@@haydensmith8558 I know you might live in the arsehole of nowhere gammon village , with the one person that isn’t web toed you all tut at while shagging your immediate family tree -and livestock - sipping putrid rural watery shandy like the semi bipedal vapid worthless Murdoch-nationalist enforced ,diluted to an almost impressive lack of neurons and reason, country destroying degenerates you all have come to be .. but he sounds perfectly normal to the rest of us. I hope you get some joy from the video and perhaps remind yourself that you’re a complete idiot and a disgraceful scar upon the earth that the country and the world is so so much better without …from time to time. Just consider it. You know what a dog whistle is bright spark? Love to have you chat about Ebonics…
I've watched this like 10x and I just now noticed that Hacker leaned into Lauren's mic to whisper while ACTUALLY leaning into his own mic to whisper. God that is brilliant puppeteering
Randomly recommended to me a few days ago and watched it now every day since. Lauren's consistent cracking up and Hacker's on point reactions are pure gold🤣
The connection between the puppeteer and puppet is amazing, if when he makes a mistake he projects the reaction onto Hacker. The K one particularly, you can see his frustration of not being able to think of something beginning with K, then when he says "I live in a kennel... Kennel! Stupid game."
Whenever I'm feeling a little bummed, I'll come back to this video. Always turns my sour mood around, without fail. Side note: I hope the whoever got to have popcorn on their road trip enjoyed the snack, and the day!
I’ve made watching this a part of my daily routine. It’s my 3 minutes of escape. So much to love. Goose, Normal Men, Well Weep Then, Come On You Peaky Pass, Whindow Shopping As It Were, iceberg lettuce.. And I’ll be watching it again tomorrow.
I’ve got a new favourite. “Hey listen to this. Ahhh! Ahhh!” Love it! Lauren is trying to be professional and he’s just screaming to crack her up! Amazing!
I watch it every day, sometimes several times a day too. I also recommend "I put some Bee Gees music over North Korean marching" to give you that final boost before you go out of the door. This is what RU-vid is for.
I'd also like to give a shout out to the BBC sound folks who work on these broadcasts. They're so quick to find the right sounds for stuff whether it's scripted or not and it really adds to the whole thing.
The pissups in the CBBC studio after hours must be epic. Iain already said on taskmaster him and the puppeteer that does hacker used to get drunk and make puppets for fun
I really love bloopers where there is still effort being put in, like the puppeteer still moving hacker around realistically, or the old toy story animated bloopers. they could just not, and nobody would know
There was an explaination on reddit. One of hackers mates said it to a policemen after being falsely accussed of drunken hi jinks on a night out. Hacker told the crew and they all found it funny and its a sort of in joke.
i envy that young woman every day, shes is laughin her ass off and getting paid for it. Who wouldnt want a job where you laughed that hard at work? Made me laugh too, that puppeteer is extraordinary.
To be fair, working at a job that treats you as a human and one hilarious coworker can do that too. Hes literally paid to be funny so hes probably gonna be pretty good at it. I had one job where we would have guys on one knee laughing on a pretty regular basis. Unfortunatly thats becoming less and less common
Thank you ! That really cheered me up and made my day. It feels like it's been a really long time have a dark cloud over me, now after watching this I feel like I can carry on.
@Pugna Nobody said you did, but when a particular video starts getting searched by a lot people the algorithm begins to place it as a recommendation based on your history. Try calming down a bit as well, you'll be happier.
This is absolutely genius puppeteering comedy at its best, really top draw I'm in stitches I keep replaying it. The chemistry between the girl and hacks is spot on. Come on then you pesky pass 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This video, which is hilarious, now appears in my feed everyday. I have been watching the veiw count go up in real time. And now the CBBC version has also started appearing. Great video, but what is going on?
Why do I keep watching this? I can't tell why this is funny, but I've watched it at least once a day for over a week, and it makes me laugh out loud every time.
This is the first time I've seen these... absolutely hilarious please get this show on Saturday night for adults. Lauren is so funny when she laughs. I need this is my life. 😆
I've watched this clip multiple times every day for the last 4 days. I was too old for this when it was on TV, but I'd honestly watch a show with you two on. Chat show or something
"good ones as well" is a classic old fashioned variety show line. It's a filler line but he used it well 😉. There was no insult intended towards the young artist, it's just banter.
