Christopher Fordinal and Lauren Rutherford met the winter of 2011 at Texas State University. After three years of dating they found themselves in a long distance relationship (Christopher in New York City and Lauren in Texas). With Lauren's graduation upcoming and the time for the "next step" quickly approaching, Christopher went to Texas with one huge surprise!

Wow. Just wow, where do I even start to describe the emotional beauty of this proposal. It's not the fact that he went to all those lengths to make it a memorable moment, it was the fact that he put so much authenticity and heart into it. I also love how he makes constant mention of the Lord. God bless both of you. Seeing a man cry during a proposal is rare, but great. Best proposal ever!

James Becker Well, the following does not remove the nice aspect of this proposal, nore this guy falls into this category. But, know that there is enough data to say that all these "romantic" and public videos, are very poor predictor of couple staying in love. It is actually the oposite, I will not enter the details of the reasons for that, but you do not need to spend much time searching for published papers to know more. So in a short congrats to them but do not think that someone more humble and not so public is not a great guy, it is generally actually the oposite.

+Cu LuI can only speak for our relationship and no one else, as his wife and knowing his heart I can honestly without a doubt in my mind say that he is exactly who you see in this video. He is an even better man than he was 4 years ago! Something I love about him, he is always trying to better himself in his love for me! I'm happy I was given this amazing guy! Have to brag there for my guy! Of course he's human and makes mistakes and so do I! No one is exempt from that :)

Lauren Rutherford I could tell by the look in his eyes and I could feel his heart skipping beats..I could feel him struggling for his next breath..I of all people know True Love when I see it. I never had problems getting dates, I have a fantastic sense of Humor, I am a Hopeless Romantic, I am a Born Again Christian, I dated a wide variety of young ladies, From Cheerleaders to To the adorable book worms..😀.., And yet it took me until I was 38 years old to feel intimidated for the first time in my life, Of all people ME speechless..When I saw your video and I saw your Husband I saw myself and When I saw you I saw my wife...Seeing the foundation in Christ you 2 built on your marriage has no choice but to succeed. With all the bad news in the world, Divorce, Domestic Violence and the such sometimes I feel that My wife and I are Sometimes the only couple left to know what true love is, Then I saw your Proposal and Wedding Video and my Hope was renewed....God bless you both

After realizing what a horrible mistake I made and contacted Chris and told him that I was terribly sorry then asked his forgiveness, which he gave and asked him to share my apology with Lauren which he assured me he would. I have tried to find other places I wrote what I did above so I could write this explanation. Thank you poetessbrit for your help in finding another one, I appreciate it!

Rahab, if you watch the videos you will find that she has claimed she is single and has no wedding ring on. Also if you look him up he does have a video where he talks to a friend and says that his wife doesn’t want him anymore.

This has me crying so hard because as a Christian girl, it proves there are young men who wan the same thing as me! They save themselves till marriage, they don't break other girls hearts, etc. Kudos to him!
