Lauren Copley was undoubtedly South Africa's first child singing prodigy in the 70's receiving no less than 2 prestigious "Gold" disk awards for her record sales. In her return after 40 years with the CD release of Chrysalis in 2015 she provides a shining example of how her voice, like a vintage wine, has blossomed into something that can only be described as a "liquid gold" sonic gem
Lauren's voice is great for this song!! The song is SUPER moving..........brings me to tears when the Crystals do it. Lauren's version may eventually do that too!
I'm very pleased to hear it, Dave. Sadly, there's a lot of South Africans have left the country over the last 20 years or so, and a good many of them seem to be here in the UK. I hope most of them will return to the RSA eventually, and the sooner the better, for I reckon they are needed there most of all.
