Another note on the dystopian future from the LN - Ainz only completed an elementary school education, as anything beyond that required resources and access his mother couldn't afford to give him before she died and left him alone. He joined the workforce right after her death. So while he was shown to be very talented in interpersonal relationships and administration, his lack of confidence in his own intelligence is quite understandable.

Really glad he went into how bad Ains' old world was its something I wish the anime went into because it puts a lot of his thought process into perspective. The sky blocked by smog so no one has actually seen the blue sky outside of pictures or video recordings, Corporations rule the world so everyone is being basically worked to death. Another detail about the MMO here he didn't mention or will probably talk about in another video is why the MMO was shut down in the first place. The TL;DR on it is that it was considered too fun was distracting people from their jobs so they killed it. His world is basically the worst case scenario of ours put up to 11, and the scariest thing it is very possible future for us.

oh wow. Some people have mentioned the smog thing, but no one has told me any of the rest! Thank you for the backstory, that definitely makes things make a lot more sense.

The fact you are appreciating the great one bone daddy is more than enough for me to subscribe and thumb up 👍🏻 And BTW the English version by far is the better one! The original version makes characters almost laughable, light novel is cool for someone who has time and passion 💀🖤

10:30 It's not more powerful, but it has a LOT more nuances and intricacies, when it was just a game, it was clear cut, it was a button/ability that did X. In the new world it's actually a field thus, it's about gathering knowledge and putting it into use, which can be through a multitude of ways. So, for example, Ainz has a spell to create fortresses, but how much he can change them is very limited, if he had actual knowledge in magic, he could change it however he pleases for the most part, so the knowledge of the new world has much more potencial.

I completely understand why you feel cringe about ainz changing albedo's settings to be in love with him. But that is inconsiquancial. As the leader of all 41 supreme ones if ainz wanted to bone someone unaltered original albedo or demiurge or all of them at the same time will jump in bed with him.

I know, it just feels different somehow. Like the others have more agency in it. They could be in love with him...or they could be in love with someone else.

@@chicanimereacts Peroronchino programmed shaltear to have every possible kink and perversion possible. Thats why she Fell in love with Ainz in New world reasons being Ainz is the only one left that can dominate her and shaltear having necrophilia. I think thats way creepier 😬

@@chicanimereacts While I do agree with you that it's morally wrong to take advantage of Albedo's programmed love, consider that she is a succubus with no experience with men (perhaps it's a consequence of Ainz changing the last line from sl*t to in love) and she already has a whole paragraph of prewritten backstory to be her own person. She would still love Ainz even if he didn't change her settings, all Ainz really did was narrow her options of love to one person. The Albedo that was unaltered was written to be a sl*t and she would be whoring around with the other residents of Nazarick. For better or for worse, which is better, a s*x-crazed succubus sleeping with everyone or a succubus who ''genuinely'' loves (he wrote '' she is deeply in love not madly in love) to their superior fully knowing what he did and is fine with it? I tend to cut Ainz some slack since he has the restraint and feels guilty for ''dirtying'' his friend's creation (again, he didn't mess with her backstory only her romance setting which was only a single text), plus his undead body took away his libido among other obvious parts, I see that as its own punishment.

You are right about his morals. But it’s also his undead body that makes him think this way. I think he’s mentioned he would have already slept with her if he wasn’t undead.
