Hello Lauren, I've been watching you since you first looked at Dimash - Love your program...! I'm old enough to have "Been-around-the-block-a-few-times" so I've pretty much seen it all. This guy is one of the very best. Koji Tamaki, the older gentleman that sang Ikanaide originally, praised Dimash on this performance. Would like to see you take a look at some of the work Dimash did at his concerts in Moscow and New York. All the best wishes from an American living in Japan.💖

He first performed this in Chinese and then in this performance in Japanese. This song is written from a true love story between a Chinese and a Japanese. She was forced to leave the country she loved because her genetics were of the other country.

Ikanaide is the original Japanese song composed by Koji Tamaki and written by Goro Matsui in 1989. This performance recorded for the online concert Tokyo Jazz Festival Nov 2021 during the quarantine where the foreign performers invited could not attend in person. Dimash was in China at the time but Japan was still in quarantine from outside travelers. Dimash actually sang the later Chinese version (same melody composed by Koji) with Mandarin lyrics written by Daryl Yao called Late Autumn (Autumn Strong) for a Chinese/Japanese tv docudrama about a Chinese actress of Japanese descent, Li XIang Lan, who was accused of being a spy and deported after WWII. Dimash sings Autumn Strong at each of his solo concerts so far with portions of Ikanide sometimes. He has millions of Chinese fans who adore the Mandarin song. You might watch the Singer Autumn Strong version (find one with the Eng subs, not the Gloria Wu version as she adjusts the audio downward a half note to avoid copyright issues). The Arnau Kiev concert version is also gorgeous and a bit different than the Singer version.

OMGosh!!! When I heard him sing "Love Is Like A Dream", I wished that someone would sing that directly to me. PLEASE, watch his performances of All By Myself, and Unforgettable Day from his performances on Singer 2017, and remember, he was only 22 yrs. old on that show. Hey Lauren, thank you for your reaction. I do love Dimash and also love the way he touches people souls. No other singer I've known has gathered so much talent, beauty and magic as Dimash does ❤

Yet again he brough us to a journey to a story, starting with a prologue, compromise then comes conflict, anger, appeal, finally acceptance. While sometimes the order would change and mixed you'll see this pattern often in dimash song arrangement and performances, it's his story telling style. About the last humming part, i can't help but think that it has a meaning of letting go, after all those turbulance emotion of begging his loved one to not leaving him, after all those anger sadness and emotional moment through the high notes, we get that soft humming at the end that sounds like "if you really want to go i'll let you go, please be happy" like he decided to let her go because he truly loved her and he felt that he hindered her happiness. The low barritone note at the very end also add a perfection which kinda symbolize his hard resolve for that. What a beautiful performance. If i'm a woman and he told me to stay i will even though i don't even know what the hell is going on lol. And oh, dimash love song is really heart warming, I would like to mention: 1. Dimash Daididau- the story behind the song with English subtitles, also from Gloria Wu's channel (the one with daybreak behind the scene where dimash got sick that you done months ago) it also got a heartpiercing back story that I feel that you gonna love. Or you could look for dimash dadidau bastau version on his channel, the story is about a man who falsely convicted, then he heard the news that his wife is leaving him on so he wrote the song while in prison, dadidau is the name of his wife. 2. Magnificent, bellisimo, bravo, glorious , there are simply not enough words to describe this song, I’m daz from australia, I came across Dimash and Diana ankudinova three years ago, they are both breathtaking, they are actually connected by a man named Igor Kratoy, who came upon dimash a few years ago, they now work together, with Igor composing and playing the piano like in the song Ave Marie, Igor Kratoy is also the man who sponsored the show( you are super) where Diana got her break and won the season, Igor kratoy bought Diana an apartment in Moscow, so she could study, he also played the piano with Diana in her performance of ( tomorrow is a lie ) small work isn’t it, that video is also available by kwstas vagias, keep well ,keep strong continue the journey that you have started, it just keeps getting better and more inspiring

Hi, Lauren. I understand that this song takes you on your own (emotional) journey. Ikanaide, meaning "Do not go", is really like one friend begging another not to leave. This, as the begging increases, results in stirring about anxieties and images. Hence, like yourself, it can easily create imaginations of another environment, in your case taking you on a journey of your own. Dimash, in the way he tells this story, does exactly that, taking you on an emotional trip, leaving you sort of uncertain and unsettled. A beautiful reaction. Thank you, Lauren.

My favourite dimash song , it’s beautiful, Dimash and Diana are on a level by themselves,

When I first listened to Dimash's Ikanaide, I was suddenly greeted with scenes of two couples having problems at the start. In my head, the man was a silent type and so was the girl. It felt like a spark between them was lost, though the man was still clearly in love. Then when Dimash transitioned and the key change happened, it showed me a picture of a man, a bit lost in a city at night. And when the echoey slow vibrato happened, it painted me a picture that the man was at a beach side, trying to understand what was happening in his married life. The pause before the hum made me visualize a scene where the two couples were a few steps apart from each other and the girl is slowly turning her head and looked back at him. It also made me see an environment somewhere in japan with trees all around and leaves falling slowly. Then when he started humming, I saw the girl slowly looked away from him and took a few steps forward, and then when he hummed low, i saw him tearing up and breathing heavily. Afterwards, the instruments did their part at the end, and i visualized the scene slowly shift to the sunset with trees.

I'm so happy you did this song! As hard as it is to pick a favourite when it comes to Dimash, this one is mine. The emotion in his delivery punches me in the soul every time I hear it. El Amor En Ti, Ulisse, The Story of One Sky, Samaltau, Ave Maria, Omir, Omir Oter, and Across Endless Dimensions evoke similar responses. I think you'd really like Kieli Meken, too, it's not as technically complex as some of his others but the energy and passion in it are amazing. If you want to see him playing instruments and singing, check out the video for Dudarai CCTV-1 China. It's so good it's sickening (in the best of ways).

I’m so glad to have found your channel. I will look for more of your Dimash content. He’s one in a million. Have you listened to Laura Fabian! She is one of Dimash’s favorite singers. She also does Adagio. She and Dimash have done some duets also. I hope I’m not breaking any rules if I mention another group of vocalists that I think you would enjoy. They are a Korean group, and are the second vocalists I discovered after Dimash! Their name is EXO. They came on the Kpop scene 12 years ago and have broken record after record. They are known as the vocal kings of Kpop. They came to Kpop with already professional talent, have continued vocal lessons up until today. Everyone in their group are excellent vocalists, including their main dancers and rappers! They are one of the few groups who do not lip sync, even as they’re performing unbelievable choreography. They performed on Killing Voice a medley of their most famous songs. That’s a great way to get an idea of their vocal ability. If you watch that, the fans EXOLs will find you and give you tons of suggestions. Thank you for allowing me to plug EXO on Dimash’s performance. I’m always bringing him up on EXO performances. The two have many of the same reactors, who always wonder how they could have missed Dimash and EXO. Thank you for your reaction!

His metal songs are fantastic like from the withers, and I'll make a man out of you from the Disney film Mulan. His most phenomenal performance is Gethsemane from Jesus Christ superstar musical. He absolutely lives the role.
