Loved watching Night Flight on USA back in the 80s. They showed art films, cult favorites, and banned music videos! And Laurie Anderson is still amazing! Great upload!
Such an amazing, articulate artist. Hearing O Superman for the first time was a game changer for my tastes in music, and I've only moved forward to listening to Laurie and other cutting-edge, sonically experimental artists since then. I hope to see Laurie Anderson live once this pandemic is over.
Probably not man. I used to tend to think that all artists were high and you need to be high to do art. Thats almost never the case Sometimes it is but the ratio is similiar to walking through a neighborhood and saying "i wonder how many people inside these houses are high right now." In a few of the houses they might be. But on most nights everyone is just doing their normal thing sober. With art most real artists are just doing their normal thing. Art. Drugs and being high don't really have anything to do with art.. You'll churn out more art at a faster rate but that will tax the artist so then you will have periods when you can't do art because you're always in trouble with drugs So yeah overall most amazing artists are not high all the time.
