Beckett Stevens I believe it means that he is apathetic, emotionally blunted and he feels nothing; he feels something when he thinks of his sister, though, because she means something to him.

@@philosci7830 When I read the comment I didn't realize it was a lyric lmao, I thought it was a reference to something that had used the song.

@@beckettstevens9529 Oh, I see, that makes sense when I look at how you worded it. Anyway, I could be wrong about what the lyrics mean. But it seems that he is singing about a thought exercise that a lady told him to do, to imagine that he is the mother of everyone he sees, for some reason(I guess so he can develop his empathy, because it sounds like he is quite apathetic).
