Do you know how amazing of a musician to be able to eat off of one album twenty plus years later? The unplugged album wasn't for everyone and wasn't mainstream. The Miseducation album is still a classic til this day leaving her fans wanting more 20 plus years later. Thank you for sharing your gift with us then and now.
I just listened to the miseducation again last week. Still as gorgeous as the first time I heard it as a little kid. She’s proof to me that there is a God above lol
Loved her Unplugged! I think I listened to it as much as Miseducation. Both classics. I've love to hear what she'd speak about in song today. She's been through so much and her voice is as beautiful as ever.
I think some artists can't handle the "monster" called fame & it has nothing to w/ their talent & probably a whole lot to do w/ preserving their mental health.
In a lot of her concerts of late, she has a tendency to sing so fast. But, here she is singing more slowly and it just hits your soul with the depth and breadth of unique her voice in a way that just doesn't happen when she's singing in a hurried manner.
@@i.i1215 hmm you know, now that you say that, I do remember there being some legal issues surrounding the musicians who helped create The Miseducation. Maybe she just doesn’t use those melodies to break free from all that. Great point! ❤️
This is her version of this song!! There are no other versions... unless you mean, you love this particular live performance version of this song by her because she is the only one that sings this song...
Brought tears to my eyes…damn what an emotional rollercoaster of a gift to take you from joy to pain and then some. Ladies and Gentlemen…this is Ms. Lauryn Hill
Real music. He knows that the right thing to do is just arpeggio, or something else simple, behind her beautiful voice. Like a frozen winter lake, calm and pristine, with one graceful ice skater. Lauryn, thank you for sharing.
Thinking of pain n hurt n how you came from it will make you sing your ass to the high hills n above Beautiful Miss Hill you deserve everything gorgeous queen! 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
When she sings “I keep letting you back in.” I fell apart. The way she looked off to the side and smirked. I felt it. We’ve all done this in doomed relationships and regretted it. What an amazing artist. How connected she is to her soul and expression. So dynamic. Truly gifted woman.
One of the greatest things a singer songwriter can ever do is pair the artist’s vocal range in the proper key. It’s the Pocket which soothes the soul plus, Lauryn knows how to emote the heck out of a song.
Im glad she never made another album. This album is stand alone GOLD and cements in time the beauty, emotion, stories and memories in the songs during that era. Whenever you think of Lauryn, you think of THAT album and THAT album ONLY. Its truly something special.
This gift God granted is for His good and for our enjoyment. I recently saw a reflection that said, in order to get the full flavor out of the tea bag, it must be steeped in "Hot Water"! So are the conditions for the truly gifted ones, and you are "fearfully and wonderfully made; designed to fulfill the purpose He created you for. Continuing in prayer for His success through your life.
I listened to her album while pregnant with my first boy . And I cried for days even after birth. the music had set the tone for how much I loved being in love and being with child. the beauty of bringing life into the world and such a responsibility we’ve been given directly from God. ❤
