Wow..where did you purchase your seeds..I remember my grandmother had loofah growing on her back fence when I was a kid..I'm hoping to find where to purchase seeds.
Clever girl Jen putting the rope through the loofah, there is NO way that's going to slip out of the soap. Yellow always goes well with purple. They turned out great.
We grow our own luffa in The Philippines in our back yard. The vegetable,is good in noodle soup. We have dried a few for bathing. Now I am looking forward to making a few soap strings using luffa. Thank you for sharing this video. God bless America, God bless those who have served.
I’ve had some loofah slices ready for this ages. I was planning to dip in cold Process this time. Can’t afford melt and pour at that amount but tempted to make these x
MammaCass Soaping Spoonie it is costly to make enough translucent CP . I made them for my mother to sell at her flea markets and she bought the materials oh my gosh it was so costly and time consuming I wished I had charged her labor 😂
I was so excited that before watching it, wanted to ask about getting loofahs wet before hand and then you started talking about it. I have had them for 1yr now just to scared to use them. Now I feel much more inclined to make them this weekend in CP. Thanks a bunch!!!
Thank for sharing Jen i just made these a couple days ago same scent to, wow, i use only clear mp and purple mica, i must say i like yours better thanks again for sharing.
Soooo.. In my house we are cubans, except for my husband, he is fully gringo ( LOL ) and as cubans we always put a bit of double side to a lot of phrases, this being said, I am here, watching your video and minding my own business while everyone else is gathering in the kitchen, and as soon as you said MOIST (when spraying the loofahs) everyone at once repeated MOIST so loud that was kind of creepy. I love the soap and thank you for making my family laugh like silly. LOL...
Hi Jen. I have a tall 12" silicone mold. The suggestion is to fill only 45oz ss filling more would bow the mold. The 45oz convert to 2.8lbs. I want to use your free recipe you provided. How do I make the soap? I'm trying cp for the 1st time. Can someone advise me please?
I've made melt and pour before but did not have a silicone mold. I wrapped my loofah in plastic wrap. I made sure the bottom end was closed but the top was nice and open then dropped it in an old Pringles can. I've made several versions of this before. Colored, scented, pearlescent and a combo of both. Then just pour the soap in the can until it's about 1/2" above the end of the loofah as it shrinks as it cools. It will take awhile to cool but you can speed up the process by putting in fridge. Once setup, remove from can and unwrap and slice. It's tough to slice unless u have an electric knife, lol. Also need to wear a glove. It can get slick lol! I slice mine about 1/2" thick. The first slice and the last slice I save for myself. The other get bagged in pretty cello bags for sale or gifts.
Good morning Jen! I love making these loofah soaps! They are always a big hit with customers. I have thought about adding the rope for the longest time but never got around to buying it! LOL These are so great for getting off the dry skin and doing some good exfoliating!! Love them...have a great day! ((Hugs)) from Texas!! xoxo : )
A&N's Suds-N-Such & BeScented I also kkk, I find your work very beautiful, we are sorry that we are from different languages, because my will is to say many doubts. I am now beginning to make handmade soap and here in my city there are no good courses in the field.
A&N's Suds-N-Such & BeScented Yes you can make these exactly. I make them with translucent CP and you can see through the soap , it is expensive and the cosuming!
