Bernhoft is amazing. Probably thebest arrist in Norway. He was nominated for an American grammy for best R’n’B album some years ago. As a Norwegian its pretty huge to be nominated for an American grammy. He is a multi-talented musician and amazing singer. He started in a rock-band. He then went solo and couldnt afford to tour with a whole band so he become a one-man-band with a loop pedal. He was incredible doing that. No imagination 😉 The talents keeps on appearing every year, you would think there woulnt be a lot left after 9 seasons…(they have allready started the application process for next season). The mentors are not high on themselves as a lot of mentors in other countries tend to be. They support eachother and all the contestants no matter what team they are on…and all contestants get praise from the other mentors. Since the contestants can chose their own songs, there are usually more interesting for the viewers and not only e same songs as used everywhere. The band is also very good, so is the sound production. The only negative thing is that they dont listen to feedback they get and upload the complete performances with feedback from the mentors which is really annoying (because people always ask and its a lot of job for us «normal» youtube viewers to translate and write everything….and also way to short performances. They have to cut it down to 2 min and thats too short.

He will continue singing ofc and said something about getting out in the world and sing for a much larger audience then in Norway! He also said that he will write lyrics and music and maybe work on an album. He is booked for Idyll festival and Pride arrangement in his home town and other stuff as well!! 🤩✨

I totally agree with you! I think that Jarle was the perfect match for Lavrans. Because if Jarle wasn’t a mentor, he wouldn’t have made it through the blind auditions. I hope that Jarle continues to work with Lavrans and helps him with his music career.

So much more camaraderie among Judges and contestants there!! Jarle was the perfect mentor for Lavrans... both have that free spirited out of mainstream music free style ( bit of willful cool edge or vibe) vocals and versatile choice of music! Ina is a huge fan of both of them. She has numerous of times said how much she loves Lavrans. The judges always show respect to eachother and eachothers contestants. They always praise everyone.

Didn't pick good songs in the last two performances.

He was good but clearly not the best, he's not consistent enough. Sounds really good at some points and OK at others. Other talents are 100% throughout there whole song. The Norway voice just has such good contenders, Very difficult show to win with the bar so high.

Jarle Bernhoft should have been as recognized and famous as John Legend, Sam Smith and The Weekend. He is just so good as a musician/artist and also a mentor.

Jarle Bernhoft is an incredible artist. He is a multi talented musician woth an incredible soulful voice. He started in a rock band, then he toured solo as a one man band with his loop pedals (cause he couldnt afford to go on tour with a full band) and now he sings more R’NB / souldpop music with his guitar. He was actually nominated for an Ameeican grammy award some years ago, for best RnB album.
