Sadly, Erin reminds me of when I was using.. I never was in jail but my thought process on doing it was exactly the same way. “If I say I’m taking some too then he won’t ingest as much” and that’s exactly what I kept saying when I was in my addiction. Sadly my ex passed away from his addiction and I’ve been clean 5 years but I hope Erin does better and gets clean.

I have a relative who works in the police, the Greek police force. I watch the episodes regularly and I actually laugh at some of the arrestees shouting that the police should treat the citizens better. From what I see and understand, the police there work like clockwork and are incredibly flawless at all levels. They have facilities, staff, medical care, 'chair', security and clearly plenty of options to handle all levels of job difficulty. We are asking for a third of what this department has. For some, it would be worth it to "fall" into the hands of the Greek police, drunk, or in any other situation to understand what it means "I throw you in a cell and forget you" because there are almost none of the aforementioned benefits. Lack of staff, poor and small facilities, if you want a doctor only in the hospital and in line to wait, and let me not continue better. And of course the worst thing is that everyone is out doing the same thing the next day or the same day. So here is a contradictory point of view. When the state makes sure it pays properly and has an upgraded police force, citizens who haven't experienced the 'worst' think they are being wronged. Send them to us here, they will change their minds instantly.... LOL.

The reason the guy with the long hair is having trouble is because he keeps trying just to finish a sentence about being in Grenada. He is military and just needs five mins of recognition and he would get through. They say he wont listen but neither will they. Part of this job is listening and dealing with vets and this is the thanks the messed up ones get that were lucky enough to live while serving for the freedom for the very cops that won't listen.

How do cops maintain this doublethink standard? One one hand, they espouse how people under the influence (especially drivers) are not able to comprehend the world around them, can't understand plain language, are not able to concentrate on a task, and are not in control of themselves or their emotions. Then they turn around when these people get to jail and attempt to have doctoral level philosophical discussions, the meaning of life, and to perform physical activities that even normally sober people could screw up, because they say this stuff 900 times a day and so they spew it out at the same speed and expect the drunk to get it. When they don't act like perfect angels, they get various levels of force used on them because they're expected to be normal when they're not.
