Nothing I say in my videos, descriptions, or comments should be taken as legal advice. I am not currently licensed to practice law; while I aim for a high standard of accuracy and quality information, my opinions, conclusions, and thoughts are limited to exactly that. Please seek a licensed attorney for legal advice should you need it.

If the bar exam counts as law school, I have a telling horror story. I took the California bar exam in Long Beach, in a brutalist concrete building with 3000 others. Someone got up to drink from the water fountain, fell over unconscious and none of us got up to help him. Only after a few minutes did an administrator notice him.

This is morbidly hysterical. And sooo telling.

This was great! Hope things are going well in North Carolina. Wednesday, I will get my next LSAT score. Fingers crossed that I did better than Aprils score. Will be taking it again in August, just can't get myself to study right now.

If you continue to study and work hard to improve the areas you have trouble in, it will always pay off!

The reason there needs to be a math formula to determine if you or anyone else breached a duty of care is because no one in their right mind in a legal proceeding would admit to doing it as that is against the very nature of having to defend yourself in a lawsuit. So math provides us with an objective way of giving the court a way to analyze the issue which the it can always depend on. Kudos to Judge Learned Hand ! LOL..

Yeah an objective way that NO ONE who actually practices uses and most people haven’t even heard of. Lol is that you, professor?

@@LifeAsALawStudent No way! The reason you are in law school is to learn how to think like a lawyer, be able to analyze and take apart the issues clearly and correctly so you can give the court the best possible argument in order to win your case and best help your clients!

Well thankfully I’ll just be working in criminal law so no unnecessarily difficult mathematical calculations for me!

@@LifeAsALawStudent Law school is not meant to be easy so don't just reject an argument because it is convenient to do so. Most modern law firms practice in multiple areas of the law so you may find your self doing some civil litigation at some point in your career or at least advising a client on negligence law.

I’m aware, I’ve been in law school for two years now. Not sure if you actually practice, but government work means I won’t be with any kind of firm, and therefore won’t be advising any clients on anything.

BPL? Mathematically analyzing cases? I've never even heard of that. I wonder to what extent that prof has actually practiced law. Hope next year is devoid of horror stories for you. :)

I think he went straight into academia!

Typical law professor. My ex is a law professor who clerked & then worked for a big firm for one year before heading to academia. He wouldn't know how to file a small claims lawsuit.
