Lawmakers push back against State Fair gun policy 

Why does the fair allow retired police to carry at the fair and ban people with a LTC from carrying? I agree with a special line for those who carry to have a background and safety check.

This makes just as much sense as New York State Banning their residents from wearing body armor in public after a non New York State resident drove over 200 miles to the state of New York to commit a mass shooting wearing body armor and carrying a weapon that was already banned in the state. The laws in New York did not stop the man from showing up with the banned weapon, and neither did the Texas fair's rules that limited only license carriers stop their perpetrator from committing his crime. These rules and laws are just making the law abiding folks that much more vulnerable to such attacks by people who don't follow or care about the rules/laws.

So someone who already wasn't supposed to bring a firearm into the fair, does so anyways and commits a crime with the firearm, so all the other law-abiding people with licenses get stripped of their ability to protect themselves and thier families from such a person should someone do this again. Yeah that makes a lot of sense 🙄

Amusement Parks: Defined as permanent facilities with controlled entries and security, amusement parks do not allow firearms​​. Sporting Events: Carrying a firearm at high school, collegiate, or professional sporting events is prohibited unless the person is a participant in the event involving the firearm. Medical and Care Facilities
