Get better, i had it a few years ago on my face and it stopped right on my eye lid. If it gets your eye there's a high chance it can blind that eye. Luckily my scars healed pretty quickly. I think it lasted 3 weeks for me.

Sorry about the shingles. I've had it twice. You can ask for lidocaine patches which will help numb the skin, and gabapentin (pill) that can help with the pain associated after shingles is over. I think it's called postherpetic neuralgia.
